Remember Why We Fight

This past Saturday the NAACP and unions such as the AFC/CIO had a rally that put the best Glenn Beck and Fox Disinformation Channel could muster to shame, but of course it was far too much for Fux News and former Senator and Dead Baby Fetishist Rick Santorum to honestly recognize that Progressives had matched and exceeded their best, instead they had to rely on their tried and true bestest counter tactic.... Slander and Bullshit.

I don't think I have to say much here, because I think their own naked demented bullcrap speaks volumes.

But let's not editorialize, let's let them speak for themselves.

Rick Santorum: You're going to see out there on the mall a bunch of people spewing Anti-American rhetoric. If you look at Glenn Beck's Rally, these are people who love America, love what it stands for, celebrate America, celebrate our past, and you're going to see a litany of grievances about how bad America is, these people only like America for what they want to change it to be, but they don't love America for what it is, and that is not going to go over well with the American public.

Yeah, right. sure.

The people at the Glenn Beck rally had no grievances with "how bad America is"? Oh really? Why don't we let them tell us about that.

Here's an amazing report on the "One Nation" Rally, which is a direct contrast to everything claimed by the Rick Sanitorium and the Tea Partiers, yet ironicallly, broadcast by the Fox News Channel. Yikes!

Wouldn't it be something if these people watched their own damn station?

Far too much to ask I know, but richly ironic.

The current numbers are that the Glenn Beck "Restoring Our Honor" rally brought 87,000 people to the mall - despite Beck's claims that it was a 500,000. Wouldn't it be cool if Progressives could bring that many people out?

Yeah, I know, far too much to expect I know. Except...

Oh wait, apparently they did bring over 125,000 people, according to Crooks and Liars. Geepers!

Ruh Roh!

What's a desperate angry paranoid hate-filled bigoted Tea Bagger to do now?

I really didn't see anyone in this video who harbors "Anti-American" feelings - although I suspect more than a few might harbor Anti-Santorum Feelings, rather I think I saw a bunch of people who believed in E Pluribus Enum, from many into one, that that diversity is not our weakness - but out strength, that we are a group of people who are willing to fight for this country, to sacrifice for this country, but not just for the benefit of those who are already rich and prosperous due to wondrous opportunity that America has afforded them already, but for those who are in desperate need, for those who are in pain, for those who are barely surviving - we are people who are willing to fight to give those who need it most a better access to opportunity, better access to success, and better access to Liberty.

And Justice... For All not just for Dick Armey, the Koch Brothers, Halliburton, Wackenhut, Wellpoint, Cigna, Anthem/Blue Cross, Massey Mining, Blackwater/Xe and BP.

Fox Propaganda Station and Rick Sanitorium are not neutral arbiters of fact. They Lie, and Lie Loudly to the benefit of the biggest Corporate Contributors to NewsCorp &trace, even the Saudi Prince who happens to be financing the "Victory Mosque at Ground Zero". Opps, did I burst someone's bubble with that one? Tough.

America is a indeed Secular Country, rather than a Theocratic Caliphate - so far - yet still it should be noted that Jesus of Nazareth said: Blessed Are the Meek, for they shall inherent the Earth.

Jesus who some call the Messiah said: It would be more difficult for the Rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, than for a Camel to slip through the Eye of Needle.

Jesus the Prophet said: That which you do to the least of your brethren, you do to me, and to God.

Jesus the Son of Man said: Let those among you who are without sin, cast the first stone.

Jesus tossed out the money changers, who had upset the will of God.

Jesus forgave the criminal, the adulterer, the murderer and the thief, for only through the eye of forgiveness can the divine light of redemption and rebirth burn.

The fact is that Jesus was a Pacifist and a Liberal - something Rick Santorum the self-proclaimed "Jesus Freak" should know well, but of course doesn't - and let God and all Tea Baggers tremble with that thought.

I may be premature and getting all HOPE and CHANGEY up in here, but It looks to me like we have a lack that of a so-called of Enthusiasm gap on our hands.

Oh! Heaven forfend!!

Shake Santorum Shake! You're latest reconning looms.

Restoring teh Stupid

these people are dumber than a pile of broken rocks. And deluded too.

Interviews with Attendees of the "Restoring Honor" Rally...

Restoring teh stoopid - it burns - it Burns!

Frankly, this set of interviews, which is independently done by New Left Media is the best coverage of the event I've seen so far.

Woman: We came out here to stand together and show people we're not crackpots.

Man: We have to take back America.

Woman: We're restoring honor and freedom. The things that are going on in the White House right now are just insane, it's becoming communist and socialist - it's just crazy.

Woman: They used to teach pride in your country in schools, they don't do that anymore.

Woman: We're the only nation like this in the world.

Man: This is the last bastion of hope, in the world. Right here. America. (Ed. "Help me, Obi-Wan Merica - you're our only hope!")

Interviewer: A lot of people are criticizing Glenn Beck for having this rally on the Anniversary of Dr. King's "I have a dream speech".

Man: It's not "insensitive." The idea that Al Sharpton is going to come here, and bring his Black Panthers to try and start some kind of incident...is wrong. Because Al Sharpton doesn't own the day. The Black people don't own the day. The African American People don't own the day.

Yeah, I'm really glad to know that everybody has the day, both the Black AND African Americans..., and their Black Panthers with Al Sharpton.

Woman: No one owns George Washington as an occasion.

Well, that would be correct ma'am - I have yet to have the occasion of George Washington. Owned or unowned.

These people are like meat - with eyes.

Interviewer: A lot of what people were concerned with was the fact the person who was speaking at this event is someone who had accused Barack Obama of being "a racist, with a deep seated hatred for white people".

Man: They're saying that Glenn Beck said that?

Interviewer: Yeah.

Man: I don't think he said that, you're getting that wrong. No, I don't think he said that.

Interviewer (Asking woman): You think he said that?

Woman: I haven't heard him say that.

Man: I never heard Glenn say he was a racist. I never heard him say that. I've never heard him be disrespectful to the President.

Man: Glenn Beck wouldn't say that. You're just turning words around here and I ain't talking to you no more.

Man: Well, if I heard that I'd believe it - because he is a bit of a racist, and a bit of an elitist.

Woman: I agree with him.

Interviewer: And why is that?

Woman: Barack Obama has done nothing but separated this country, and caused Blacks and White against each other. (That's an exact quote!)

Interviewer: How's he done that?

Woman: Oh, a long list of things.

Woman: I can't believe this country would elect someone so anti-progress and pride of America. That would willfully destroy the country and divide us on the issue of race.

Woman: I believe with the Birther People, I don't believe he's even a legalized citizen. I don't think he's a Christian, I think he Muslim at heart and he only joined that Church in Chicago for political reasons.

Wow. Just wow. Now we know that even without all their stupid signs, they're still pretty stupid and more than a little bigoted.

It's not like you sound like an ignorant hick, but yes you're fat ass does racist and idiotic in those pants.

For further context - you have this bit from Sam Seder and "That's BULLSHIT!"

.0046 percent Black people? And to think that instead of Park Police estimate of 87,000 if you use Glenn Beck's attendance estimates (over 100,000) or worse - Michele Bachmann's (500,000) - you start having to deal in negative exponents of 10. Which is pretty damn small.

Man: I love Glenn Beck, I just wish he's be more consistent about one thing. When it comes to Van Jones, Anita Dunn, Barack Obama he shows the communist connections very well, he demonstrates that and gives proof. But when it comes to Martin Luther King he feels the need to toe the political correct line

I'd love to see more black people at tea party events, because when they do come they're treated like celebrities... I wish there were more.

I'm thinking that "Dr Martin Luther King the Communist" rhetoric isn't going to get us to jump up and come running your way. Not hardly. It's more like shades of Hoover and COINTELPRO with that noise pal.

Anyhoo - back in the first video they did start to discuss the "Victory Mosque" at Park 51, not that any of them even knew what it was really called. Black people don't "own the day" and have no right to feel "sensitive" about King - who was also killed by a terrorist - or Beck - who insulted the first Black President by calling him a racist - but all the White Christian-Americans (who don't live in New York and had no direct connection to the attack) apparently have Ground Zero and the blocks East, West, North and South of it around Tikrit, on Escrow!

Man: I think it's a stick in the eye to the American people.

Man: This has nothing to do with religious freedom.

Man: How many mosques are in New York right now, a bunch of them. why do they another one - just to slap us in the face?

Man: Islam is not just a religion, they couch it as a religion - but it's a lifestyle. When you buy into the Islam Religion, it's everything.

Woman: It's not that they can't build the mosque, but why do they have to build it there? They don't need to thumb their nose up at us.

Man: I think it's sticking the eye in the America people. 3,000 people died there - by Muslims.

Man: They're sticking their thumb in our eye. (Ed: Ok, this guy at least got the anatomy correct)

Man: We don't want this to become another Mecca, a Muslim victory.

Man: Not only does this smack the families in the face, but America in general. (Ed: Well, at least they didn't try to ram it down your throat, like Health Care - now it's all about eyes and faces!)

Interview: How far away should they put it?

Man: How about 100 miles?

Woman: They have more mosques in New York than you can shake a stick at, why the devil do they need another one?

Interviewer: Some say they are confusing radical Islam with more moderate Islam?

Man: I learned everything I needed to know about Islam on 9/11.

Well, I think one of the actual 9/11 families might have something to say about that.... especially Talat Hamdani who lost her son, an EMT who rushed into the Towers to save people, on 9/11.

First people assumed that because he was muslim, her son was somehow involved in the attack. She is now receiving HATE MAIL, apparently through someone who had access to her DMV records.

My favorite portion of this interview occurs about 6 mins in ... it should be on a permanent loop in front of Park 51.

Hamdani: He (Gringrich) has no right to get involved in this issue. He did not lose anyone over there. He is not a New Yorker.

All of these politicians are just jumping on the bandwagon, ostracizing me - Americans or muslims like me. Our people are dying. Why are we being held accountable for this action of a foreign terrorist group?

Olbermann: Do you have any concerns about speaking out, in favor, and with your group 9/11 Families in favor of the Park 51 project?

Hamdani: I have no worries because I am standing for what is duefully mine. They are cloaking this issue - as a sensitive issue, too close, too soon. To me it's a issue of Freedom of Religion. All the people who were murdered that day, where not murdered for their faith, race or ethnicity, but for being American and believing in the American values of democracy, freedom, liberty of speech and to persue a faith of your own choice. So the best we can do as a tribute and a legacy to them is to uphold those American values. Unlike, New Gingrich and whoever who is jumping in on this feeding on the bloodshed of 2,700 Americans like vultures. They are the lowest of mankind.

THAT is what being an American is all about. It's not about wearing your cute flag t-shirt while your spouting hated about the "Commies" and the "Muslims" and the "Insane Socialists" - it's not about putting on the clothing and mantle of Ben Franklin while knowing nothing about the values that he stood for - it's about having the courage to say that Rights Matter, even when it makes other people uncomfortable or "sensitive". To be willing to Lead by Example not via Entitlement and whining that "America used to be Special", but not willing to actually stand up and Be Special.

Talat Hamdani is Ten Times the American that any of those thimble brains on the mall will ever be.

Beck & O'Reilly As Pissed (At a Fictional Character!)

On a recent episode of a Fictional Show - namely Law & Order: Special Victims Unit one particular character, portrayed by John Laroquette, in response to the murder of several illegal immigrants made the following statement:

“Limbaugh, Beck, O’Reilly, all of ‘em, they are like a cancer spreading ignorance and hate...They’ve convinced folks that immigrants are the problem, not corporations that fail to pay a living wage or a broken health care system...”

This of course has Billo Completely LIVID.

Via YahooNews:

After playing the clip of the "defamatory and outrageous" scene, O'Reilly slammed Dick Wolf as a "coward" and a "liar" before playing a montage of clips demonstrating his past defenses of "poor people who only want a better life." O'Reilly went on to explain that his "beef" isn't with illegal immigrants themselves, but rather with the federal government for doing little to control immigration and the "violent aliens who wreak havoc once they get here." He concluded by chastising Wolf for "distorting and exploiting" the issue of illegal immigration.

More directly from Fox:

If you watch "The Factor" you know my beef is with the federal government not controlling illegal immigration and with violent aliens who wreak havoc once they get here.

Again, Dick Wolf, the executive producer of "Law & Order," is a despicable human being for distorting and exploiting this very complicated situation.

I mean, enough is enough with these network pinheads who shove propaganda down our throats under the guise of entertainment. Patriotic Americans can debate illegal immigration respectfully. No one on "The Factor" has been allowed to demonize any innocent human being, and it is partially because of this program that the border fence was finally put up so that there could be some kind of responsible regulation about who comes into America.

I can't tell you how angry I am that this "Law & Order" thing happened, and it's no accident it happened on NBC, which is propaganda central in the USA. It's also the lowest-rated network.

Ok, well that clears everything up doesn't it. O'Reilly didn't attack immigrants - he just attacks the Government that didn't do enough about Illigal Immigrants. Yeah. Ok.

If Government isn't doing it, doesn't that suggest that O'Reilly supports individual citizens taking things into their own hands ala The so-called "Minutemen"?

Anybody remember this knock-down drag out about between O'Reilly and Geraldo Rivera over a Drunk Driver/Illegal Immigrant Issue?

Geraldo: Don't obscure a tragedy to make a cheap political point.

Geraldo also pointed out that the drivers previous arrests and convictions were non-violent (being drunk in public twice, and one victimless DUI - in Chesapeake - and there was no evidence of "Moral Turpitude" in any of these cases, hence Ramos was not targeted for deportation) - he was able to make these statements with authority because he - unlike O'Reilly - is a lawyer and sometimes actually knows what he's talking about.

Also...

Geraldo: Illegal Immigrants commit crimes at a lower percentage than the general population

Billo: You want Anarchy!! You want Anarchy with Open Borders!

Meanwhiie Glenn Beck is having his own mini-meltdown over his own statements being thrown back at him via the TEEVEEE as well...

Beck: “where is the evidence for inciting any violence? Show it to me.”

Where's the Evidence? How 'bout the following which I most recently posted when Dana Perino claimed "Bush never had a Terrorist Attack"...

We've had this guy allegedly shoot and kill an OB/GYN in order to make a religous and political point about the "Santity of Life": (A Violent crime committed against someone that Bill O'Reilly personally Railed against FOR YEARS!)

Or this guy who walked into a Unitarian Church in Knoxville Tennesse and shot 4 people - killing 2 of them - because they were, in his opinion, too "Liberal"? (Based on recommendations he got from frequent Bill O'Reilly Guest - Bernie Goldberg)

From Adkisson's "Note":
"Know this if nothing else: This was a hate crime. I hate the damn left-wing liberals. There is a vast left-wing conspiracy in this country & these liberals are working together to attack every decent & honorable institution in the nation, trying to turn this country into a communist state. Shame on them....

Also...

[Police] seized three books from Adkisson’s home, including “The O’Reilly Factor,” by television commentator Bill O’Reilly; “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder,” by radio personality Michael Savage; and “Let Freedom Ring,” by political pundit Sean Hannity

Or this guy who shot up the Holocaust Museum in Washington killing a security guard who was opening the door for him... (A guy who also thought "Obama is a KENYAN!" - where could he have heard that from?)

Or this guy who killed three Pittsburgh Police Officers either because he was frustrated with his girlfriend or "Obama Wants to Take Away My Guns" - or both.

Is it really that ridiculous that a story could be written linking the Loud and Inflammatory Rhetoric of people like Beck and O'Reilly with a murderous rampage?

No, It's ridiculous that it's taken this long for Hollywood to notice and create a MADE-UP story about it...

If these Conservatives really thought there was no link between inflammatory comments and actual violent events - why do they attack RAP MUSIC the way that the do - directly linking their words to action like the Killings at Virginia Tech?

This has been naturally going on for years particularly with the music of Ice T with his Rock band Bodycount when they released the Social-Commentary song "Cop Killer"?

Also another irony, the actor who John Larroqutte was talking to on Law and Order was Ice T playing his long-standing role on that show as a Cop!

Vyan

Update I want to address Beck's attempt to defend himself by pointing out that he was accused of inspiring the Murder of a Census Worker who in turn it was discovered had simply committed suicide. You could say this is simply the case of one poor desperate man who wanted to leave his family some insurance money - but you also have to look at How he choose to do that which was to create a scenario which seemed in his mind the most likely area where he - a Federal Employee - might be attacked and harmed. In the middle of appalachia, stripped naked with the word "FED" written on his chest.

Why wouldn't people take a close look at rabid anti-Government sentiment which is famed to brew strong in that area when you have Beck making statements like this at the time...

And This

And this too...

Or This...

With all that why might somebody find if believeable that anyone who works for the Government or President Obama think that there might people out there "gunning for them"?

Frankly, it's lot more plausible that the cockamamie story this chick came up with?

Isn't it?

Glenn Beck is a Traitorous Fucktard!

In this segment from the Daily Show, Jon Stewart takes Glenn Beck and guest Michael Scheuer Apart after they agree that what America really truly needs - is to be Attacked By Bin Laden Again, because only then will we respond with the "Violence that is Necessary".

Michael Scheuer, former CIA analyst and author of the book Imperial Hubris, appeared on Glenn Beck's show to declare, "The only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to deploy and detonate a major weapon in the United States...only Osama can execute an attack which will force Americans to demand that their government protect them."

This sentiment from Scheuer is no surprise to me, as the same attitude is expressed in his book on Bin Laden Imperial Hubris". His view is that America hasn't won a War since WWII simply because we haven't been willing to crush our enemies into Powder the way that Sherman Marched across Georgia and burned everything in sight, or Truman dropped the Atomic Bomb, not just once - but twice.

The problem with his argument is that the primary method that al Qeada has been able to use against us has been the depth of OUR brutality in Abu Ghraib, Gitmo and Bagram as well as the massive collateral damage as civilians continue to be caught in the cross-fire in Afghanistan.

This is not just a physical War with an opposing government as the Civil War and WWII were, but is instead a battle of concepts and the belief by either side in the inhumanity of their opponents. We win this by showing our Humanity and Humane-ity, not be become the worse version of the type of characatured monsters our enemies would paint us to be.

Some may disagree with me, but I tend to think the definition of someone who specifically endorses and WISHES for their country to suffer a massive deadly attack - is TRAITOR!
