How to NOT Prove, You're NOT a Racist...

Y'know it's bad when the crazies just don't know how fracking crazy they sound when they respond to the voices in their head out loud. Or in print.

Today's Crazy-in-Chief is Tea Party-Bagger, MarK Williams. A man whose previously said - without flinching or irony - that President Obama is a "Indonesium Muslim turned Welfare Thug In Chief"

And that Muslims are...

[R]epeat after me: Islam is a 7th Century Death Cult coughed up by a psychotic pedophile and embraced by defective, tail sprouting, tree swinging, semi-human, bipedal primates with no claim to be treated like human beings or even desirable mammals for that matter.

If you think his openly calling the President a Muslim/Non-human is a bad prelude to what's coming - you're right.

So the NAACP has got Mr. Williams all riled up because they asked the Tea Party to ixnay on the racism-ay. Williams first response was predictable.

WILLIAMS: You’re dealing with people who are professional race baiters, who make a very good living off this kind of thing. They make more money off of race than any slave trader ever. It’s time groups like the NAACP went to the trash heap of history where they belong with all the other vile racist groups that emerged in our history.

So you see, it's not like any of the tea partiers are racist - the real racists are the people pointing out their racism, like the NAACP - and apparently Barack Obama.

Here's Keith on this:

This sort of Racism-Double-Think is exactly the same thing that both Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck have been employing for years, "We're not the Racists - You Are for noticing how we repeatedly demean people of color for not being - more like us, White-Conservative people"

But this latest bit, just absolutely takes the flipping cake. Just follow along here as I attempt to dissect and decode this web diarrhia.

Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don’t cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

Oh, see what he did there - he made a funny, or is it a turd stain?

Look, he said "Coloreds" - isn't that quaint? It's funny too since it's the NAACP - National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, not the NAABP (Nat. Assoc. for Advancement of Black People) or NAAAAP (Nat. Assoc. for Advancement of African American People).

(Frankly, that "Colored" thing doesn't bother me one wit, it's simply childrish - the big problem is actually rest of what he said)

He's saying that black people via the NAACP don't want to work for what they get (lazy), can't think for themselves (stupid) and can't handle consequences (irresponsible). Yeah, that's an excellent way to show you don't subscribe to blatantly racist bigoted stereotypes. Bravo, - who could possibly doubt your anti-racism bona-fides now?

Sure, I know he didn't say this about black people literally - just the Coloreds - and what he may very well argue is that he's just describing how the NAACP thinks, except that's just fracking ridiculous. The NAACP does not go around saying black people don't need to work hard, or that they need to be lead around by the nose and wiped up after like children.

The NAACP exists to combat ongoing racial discrimination and one quick glance at the FBI Hate Crimes Reports shows that phenomenon is a long way from being a thing of the past.

In 2008 the number of Anti-Black Racial incidents (2,876) outnumbered the total reported Anti-White Racial incidents (716) by Over 4 TO 1.

That's just one stat, but there are plenty more to be had.

Ongoing discrimination and Anti-Black Racial Bias is a not a manufactured dream from the NAACP or ACLU to stoke the fires of Black Resentment and Entitlement, this is what Law Enforcement Agencies around the Country are documenting and providing to the FBI to compile and report. Tell me again how "most of the Racists in America are Black or members of NAACP" Mark - go on, say it and continue to leave all doubt behind concerning the level of your abject idiocy.

You see to Williams incidents like what recently happened to Oscar Grant are nothing but Wolf Cries. Exaggerations. Phantasms. And there's nothing inherently racist or bigoted about SB1070 (except, um, everything!) Meanwhile everybody else who thinks Barack the Magic Negro is knee slapping funny - just has a sense of humor is all.

Hardy Har Har.

And people who protest amid the Tea Party with signs like these - well, they're just GOOD AMERICANS, aren't they?

"Good at what?" one wonders...

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement’.

The Tea Party is part of the "Abolitionist Spirit"? Yeah, ok - another funny or turd, take you're pick. Seems to me that historically speaking, since Lincoln fought to preserve the Union while Tenthers in the South fought for States Rights, I don't see how the Tea Party - which has bashed Obama for gross federal overreach and violation of State Sovereignty with the Health Care Bill, while openly supporting those who have suggested succession as a viable remedy have any leg to stand-on in relation to "Abolitionism", unless he had a brain fart and really meant the Abolition of Women's Rights!

The tea party position to "end the bailouts" for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn’t that what we want all Coloreds to strive for?

Ahhh hahah. Coloreds just love that Guvmint cheese. No, that's not bigoted racist imagery at all - "hey homey, don't bogard da watermelon n' cornbread..."

Just wondering, where exactly are the Conservatives on the New Financial Reform Bill that makes Wall Street responsible to pay for cleaning up their own mess, not the American Taxpayer? Oh yeah, that's right - they want to Repeal It before it's even been signed.

Way to "End the Bailouts" bucko.

What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare?

You gotta Mirror?

What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

Where the hell does this come from? Nowhere and at no time has Anyone suggested such a thing - except for apparently, within the fever dream nightmares of Mark Williams and his fellow travelers (Limbaugh, Beck, Savage)

And the ridiculous idea of "reduce[ing] the size and intrusiveness of government." What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

Gee, it's only ridiculous if you don't care about having clean air to breathe, or clean water to drink, or food free of toxins like mercury and pesticides and toys not made with lead, and fish and shrimp that haven't been deep fried in Gulf Crude and Corexit 9527, or Cars that Stop when you hit the brakes, or Cars that drive when you hit the gas or Oil Rigs that don't blow up and burn 11 people alive or mines that won't explode from methane and kill 25 people at a time, or health insurance companies that actually pay for health care instead of making up bullshit excuses not to pay for claims, and pharmaceutical companies that aren't spending all their time and money trying make up phony diseases to sell us more and more PILLS for Non-existent Adult Attention Deficit Disorder, and after we finally get those Pills they don't Give us Strokes and Heart attacks or Mortgages that won't blow up in our Faces and leave us Underwater with Debt, Credit Card Interest Rates that won't double and triple without warning, or bridges that won't collapse while traffic is on it, or for that matter - police men, or firemen, or paramedics, or emergency room doctors or public school teachers.

Yeah, We the people can handle all that shit just fine on our own without that annoying always on our BACK Guvment helping out, thank you very much - just us and our Corporate bailed out buddies on Wall Street who are absolutely looking out for our best interest, right after they check the status of their stock options, latest derivative trades and $million bonus money.

Any second now, they'll be right on our side... a.n.y second.

Yup, Freedom to Live in Corporate Servitude - is my kinda Corporate Fuedalism Freedom.

The racist tea parties also demand that the government "stop the out of control spending." Again, they directly target coloreds.

Stop Out of Control Spending you Say? You mean like the $500 Billion that will be saved in Medicare over the next ten years thanks to the Bill You Opposed or all the TARP money that was paid back at an profit and helped reduce the deficit by about $300 Billion from 2009 to 2010?

Pardon my rank speculation (since there's quite a bit of that going around) maybe you just don't want any more spending on the Coloreds, but all the spending on the Pales like Farm Subsidies for Corn we simply can't eat and end up turning into high fructose syrup which is destroying our arteries?

Nope. Not a racist idea at all that.

That means we Coloreds would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Ah, I think that's a swing - and a miss - at Affirmative Action? Golly Mark, don't you know the 1981 Bakke v UC Regents decisions banned the use of quotas in AA Programs? Must have been so long ago, you just plain forgot that the spectre of lazy unqualified black guys getting jobs and access to good schools over better qualified white guys is pretty much A MYTH.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government "stop raising our taxes." That is outrageous!

Stop Raising your taxes which haven't been raised, but instead were actually lowered by 40% of the Stimulus Bill - that you Hated? Schizophrenic much there Mark?

How will we coloreds ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

And the NAACP doesn't when it invests in education and bettering oneself via it's Image Awards program? Yet again, we see the true face of the entire "Spreading the Wealth Around" meme - it's about taking money from hardworking white folk and giving it to those lazy coloreds. It's Reparations They Fear, which is exactly what Beck and Limbaugh have said. It's not like a Colored Man could ever make more than $250,000 and have to pay a marginally higher tax rate than an Appalachian Coal worker making $30,000 a year? It's not possible that a well educated colored may be paying taxes to support an uneducated white - why that's just ridiculous.

If that was possible the image of all the Donor (giving) States in America, contrasted to all the Taker (Freeloader) States in America in terms of Federal Taxes just might look something like this...

Oh wait, it does look like that doesn't it?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom’s Nephew NAACP Head Colored Person

Oh that's hilarious, see how he hammered home that final zinger? The NAACP just wants the massa government to take care of colored folk like they used to do - before the 13th and 14th Amendment. That's priceless. Except that before those Amendments passed, it wasn't government that provided "room and board, and handled all their decisions" - IT WAS PRIVATE INDUSTRY.

In the upside-down fracked-up world of this thimble brained cretin, the NAACP want's to repeal two of the most massive government interventionist Amendments -the ones banning slavery (except for the "duly convicted") and the one supposedly guaranteeing the "equal protection of the laws", as well as granting all persons born within the united states full and automatic citizenship.

Yeah, that's right - automatic citizenship - that pesky thing that some of your Tea Bagging buddies in Arizona - and Tea Party Crown Prince Rand Paul - consider the Anchor Baby Clause?

Yeah, fine - I'm now convinced there aren't any racists in the Tea Party. Nope. Not One.

Well, ok - just one. The Guy DOING ALL THE TALKING FOR THEM.

Oh, but geez Mark, you pretty much completely forgot one of the most important Amendments that came out of the Civil War and Reconstruction - surprising since you're such an expert and good close personal friend of Mr. Lincoln and all - the 15th Amendment which granted the Coloreds the RIGHT TO VOTE.

You really think very many of those Coloreds, especially the ones who continue to support the NAACP, are going to be voting for your candidates in November?

I suggest, in all seriousness, you think again. Hard.

Just one other thing Mark, the NAACP is only one hundred and one years old - they weren't even around during the Civil War and couldn't have written any kind of letter to Lincoln since he was long dead - just thought you should know that, since you're obviously too bone-dead dense to figure it out on your own.

What if the Tea Party was Black?

Also noted by Tim Wise....

Imagine that hundreds of black protesters were to descend upon Washington DC and Northern Virginia, just a few miles from the Capitol and White House, armed with AK-47s, assorted handguns, and ammunition. And imagine that some of these protesters —the black protesters — spoke of the need for political revolution, and possibly even armed conflict in the event that laws they didn’t like were enforced by the government? Would these protesters — these black protesters with guns — be seen as brave defenders of the Second Amendment, or would they be viewed by most whites as a danger to the republic? What if they were Arab-Americans? Because, after all, that’s what happened recently when white gun enthusiasts descended upon the nation’s capital, arms in hand, and verbally announced their readiness to make war on the country’s political leaders if the need arose.

Imagine that white members of Congress, while walking to work, were surrounded by thousands of angry black people, one of whom proceeded to spit on one of those congressmen for not voting the way the black demonstrators desired. Would the protesters be seen as merely patriotic Americans voicing their opinions, or as an angry, potentially violent, and even insurrectionary mob? After all, this is what white Tea Party protesters did recently in Washington.

Imagine that a rap artist were to say, in reference to a white president: “He’s a piece of shit and I told him to suck on my machine gun.” Because that’s what rocker Ted Nugent said recently about President Obama.

Imagine that a prominent mainstream black political commentator had long employed an overt bigot as Executive Director of his organization, and that this bigot regularly participated in black separatist conferences, and once assaulted a white person while calling them by a racial slur. When that prominent black commentator and his sister — who also works for the organization — defended the bigot as a good guy who was misunderstood and “going through a tough time in his life” would anyone accept their excuse-making? Would that commentator still have a place on a mainstream network? Because that’s what happened in the real world, when Pat Buchanan employed as Executive Director of his group, America’s Cause, a blatant racist who did all these things, or at least their white equivalents: attending white separatist conferences and attacking a black woman while calling her the n-word.

Yeah, there would be any problem at all...

That's exactly why Megyn Kelly can't STOP talking about the Black Panthers Case, even when fellow Fox Contributers tell her is Small Potatoes.

Juan Williams Destroys Megyn Kelly Obsession on Black Panthers

Williams: This is really small potatoes. When I look at the details of the case, I notice the other man was a certified poll-watcher.

Kelly: There is now a policy of not pursuing any voter intimidation cases of where the defendant is black.

Williams: There's no evidence of that. I know about this Whistle-Blower - he's involved in an effort to poltiicize it because he's upset that the Bush Justice Department was accused of not pursuing voter-intimidation, even when people were carrying guns.

NAACP vs Tea Party - to the Pain

The NAACP has now Officially Voted to condemn the Racist Elements within the Tea Party, and boy is the Tea Party Mad!!

Again...

Ok, STILL!
Today, NAACP delegates passed a resolution to condemn extremist elements within the Tea Party, calling on Tea Party leaders to repudiate those in their ranks who use racist language in their signs and speeches.
The resolution came after a year of high-profile media coverage of attendees of Tea Party marches using vial, antagonistic racial slurs & images. In March, respected members of the Congressional Black Caucus reported that racial epithets were hurled at them as they passed by a Washington, DC health care protest. Civil rights legend John Lewis was called the “n-word” in the incident while others in the crowd used ugly anti-gay slurs to describe Congressman Barney Frank, a long-time NAACP supporter and the nation’s first openly gay member of Congress.
Missouri Representative Emmanuel Cleaver was spat on during the incident, and so it was particularly appropriate that the resolution was passed as NAACP delegates gathered in Kansas City for our 101st Annual Convention.

The NAACP did NOT say that everyone in the Tea Party was a racist, they simply pointed out that some of them have made some clearly bigoted statements and ANY responsible organization should denounced those types of statements, instead the Tea Party and their supporters have decided to denounce - THE NAACP!

In this clip from Countdown, NAACP head Ben Jealous makes the point that they've received Death Threats at their LA Offices for their resolution. How better do you define violent rhetoric that when someone speaks out against it, people direct VIOLENT rhetoric against them.

In response, Thinkprogress has a new video on Tea Party Racism.

I think this video goes the wrong direction. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been seriously critical of the Tea Party and their tacit support of Racism, but some of these clips are bad choices. That second guy shown “I’m a proud racists, I’m white” – was essentially kicked OUT of a Tea Party event as I documented on Dailykos. The guy who says “We Can’t Kill Obama” wasn’t advocating it, he was advocating defeating them electorally, because that’s what he said next. The “Yup, I’m A Racist” shirt is supposed to be Sarcasm, although all it really is – is Just Tragically Misguided Irony.

By using some questionable clips here I believe Thinkprogress may be opening themselves up to criticism from people like Andrew Breitbart, who thinks Congress was deliberately "provoking" the N-Word (and the F-Word) against themselves during the contentious passage of Health Care - and have been lying about it ever since.

This Brietbart claims even though CNN reporters and even Joe Trumka of the AFL/CIO heard the N-word themselves, and the F-Word against Barney Frank was caught on videotape.

Hey Andrew, if that's the only act of Racism you can find in among the Tea Party - you haven't been seriously looking. Here's a better Video showing Tea Party Racism...

Besides the signs, all you have to do to find their racism is listen to Tea Party Express Spokesman Mark Williams for a few minutes.

Williams on the NAACP:

WILLIAMS: You’re dealing with people who are professional race baiters, who make a very good living off this kind of thing. They make more money off of race than any slave trader ever. It’s time groups like the NAACP went to the trash heap of history where they belong with all the other vile racist groups that emerged in our history.

The purpose of the NAACP at it's start was to stop the Lynching of Black Men in America by The Klan. They continue today address situations like the brutal shooting of Oscar Grant.

As Tim Wise Documented, the balance between the Races is nowhere NEAR equal.

In this day and age research indicates that job applicants with white sounding names have a 50 percent better chance of being called back for an interview than their counterparts with black-sounding names, even when all qualifications are the same?

In this day and age studies still find that white job applicants with criminal records have a better chance of being called back for an interview than black applicants without one, even when all the qualifications are the same?

In this day and age evidence suggestes millions of cases of race-based housing discrimination against people of color occur each year.

In this day and age data from the Justice Department shows that blacks are far more likely than whites to have their cars and persons searched after a traffic stop, even though whites, when searched, are more than four times as likely to have drugs or other illegal contraband on us?

In this day and age the data shows that although whites and blacks use and sell drugs at roughly the same rates, African Americans are anywhere from 2.8 to 5.5 times more likely than whites to be arrested for a drug offense, depending on the year.

And.. the state level data indicating that in nine states, blacks are arrested at more than seven times the rate of whites, and in Minnesota and Iowa at rates that are more than eleven times greater than white arrest rates for drugs.

And... additional data that blacks are more than 10 times as likely as whites to be sent to prison for drug offenses, despite relatively equivalent rates of drug crimes.

And... the fact that a majority of persons admitted to prison for drug offenses are black, even though there are about six times more white users nationwide.
But y'know the NAACP - an organization that is 101 years old - is just a bunch Race Hustlers looking to make a buck off of White Guilt and Black Indignation. Yeah, right.

Anywhere here's what Williams says about Muslims.

[R]epeat after me: Islam is a 7th Century Death Cult coughed up by a psychotic pedophile and embraced by defective, tail sprouting, tree swinging, semi-human, bipedal primates with no claim to be treated like human beings or even desirable mammals for that matter.

So this guys not bigoted AT ALL, eh? In response members of the Tea Party have claimed that none of this has "anything to do with the Tea Party" - Oh really, statements by YOUR OFFICIAL SPOKESMAN have nothing to do with you?

Why is he even speaking then? What's he doing on TV supposedly representing the TEA PARTY and saying things like this? What about when he was on Anderson Cooper and called Obama an "Indonesian Muslim turned Welfare Thug, and a Racist-in-Chief".

This guy is a total loony toon - and he's a TEA PARTY loony tune!

But we shouldn't worry just about him, what we really need to be wondering and worried about is how many of these people from the McCain/Palin's rallies as documented in "Right America, Feeling Wronged" are now part of the Tea Party? And how many people will come out of the woodwork to make excuses and ratiionalizations for them?

Don't think SOME Conservatives in the Tea Party are Racist and Bigoted? Think again.

Megyn Kelly Flips Out at Fellow Foxer

Via Thinkprogress

Here we see how a Foxer handles being told their full of shit! Not Well.

POWERS: The minute I challenge you, you tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about?

KELLY: Because you don’t.

POWERS: You just want people to come on and just agree with you –

KELLY: No, I want informed people.

POWERS: — that what you’ve been doing and the way you’ve been completely doing the “scary black man thing.”

I covered this story in detail a couple days ago when Kelly interviewed the head of the New Black Panther Party about the scandal.

The bottom line is that a guy (Samir Shabbaz) was caught on camera with a stick while standing outside a polling place. He had been sent there along with another Black Panther Member to help provide Security and prevent Voter Intimidation by local police.

He was not criminally charged, but he was civilly sued and an injunction was granted which originally prevented him from coming within 100 Feet of Any Polling Place with a Stick - ANYWHERE. The "Scandal" is that this injunction was downgraded to just prohibiting this one guy from coming withing 100 feet of a polling place - with a stick - in Philadelphia until 2012.

In Us. v. New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense, the district court found that the United States had alleged that Minister King Samir Shabazz "stood in front of the polling location at 1221 Fairmont Street in Philadelphia, wearing a military-style uniform, wielding a nightstick, and making intimidating statements and gestures to various individuals, all in violation of 42 U.S.C. § 1973i(b)," Order, dated May 18,2009, at 1, and entered judgment "in favor of the United States of America and against Minister King Samir Shabazz, enjoining Minister King Samir Shabazz from displaying a weapon within 100 feet of any open polling location on any election day in the City of Philadelphia, or from otherwise violating 42 U.S.C. § 1973i(b)." Judgment, dated May 18,2009. We (the DOJ) believe this injunction is tailored appropriately to the scope of the violation and the requirements of the First Amendment. We intend to enforce fully the terms of this injunction. Section 11(b) does not authorize other kinds of relief, such as monetary damages or civil penalties.

The argument brought forth by this so-called "Whistle-blower" is that this downgrading is part of an Obama sponsored DOJ plot to Screw White-People by deliberately ignoring cases of Black voter intimidation and fraud (ala the Phony ACORN Scandal).

Keith took this apart in about two seconds.

My problem with this is that I don't think the guy even violated the statute. According to both Kelly and a letter written by the DOJ to a Congressman who inquired about the case No actual VOTERS were harassed or Intimidated.

I think it your being accused of voter intimidation - you should have actually intimidated voters, and no one has presented any evidence of that.

Also, the law requires the the person be within 100 Feet of the polling place and since I've been a poll worker for nearly the last decade - I have my doubts about that. Poll workers are required to post signs marking the 100 Foot Zone, but in the video where the stick is shown no such signs are visible as the videographer approaches the two men. There are signs visible behind them in the windows of the apartment building - which seems to indicate they were outside that zone (which is where they were instructed to be).

If that's the case, and someone would have to know the layout of the building and location of he polling place inside to confirm this, even with the injunction he could still stand in the exact same place, with the exact same STICK.

Unless Megyn Kelly finds out that is.

Kelly: You obviously don't know what you're talking about...

She's not the only one - since the DOJ letters says this.

these defendants failed to respond to the complaint, that does not mean the Department "had effectively won the case" against them. The Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit "does not favor entry of defaults or default judgments."

The only reason I can say "IF" on any of this is because Shabazz didn't show up to contest the case and the injunction was granted by default, not by merit.

Regardless of Shabazz's own personal issues of loudmouth bigotry, basically to me this is really a case of profiling, Shabazz was essentially convicted in absentia of being a Big Scary Black Man with a Sticktm, it's that kind of presumption of guilt until proven innocent that continues to get a lot of young black men killed even when their trying to do the right thing - case in point - Oscar Grant.

NAACP Calls out Tea Party Racism, Palin Calls for Apology - to Tea Party

Today the NAACP at it's 101st Annual Convention is scheduled to vote on whether to condemn the "Racist Elements" that have been on display within the Tea Party. Keith and Melissa address it - I think - quite fairly noting first of all that not everyone in that group is, or even could be, a Racist - just some of them.

People these days seem to really forget just who and what the NAACP really is. It was an organization began by both black and white people to help curb the scurge of Lynchings across America. Medger Evers was an NAACP leader. Rosa Parks was an NAACP member. Today the NAACP is standing up against the unjust verdict in the Oscar Grant Shooting, and against Arizona's SB1070.

The need for such an organization was made crystal clear yesterday by Tim Wise's Must Read Tour-De-Force post on modern day discrimination and racism... Black Power's Gonna Git You Sucka

Prominent white conservatives are angry about racism.

What is it that woke them up finally, after all these years of denial, during which they insisted that racism was a thing of the past?

Was it the research indicating that job applicants with white sounding names have a 50 percent better chance of being called back for an interview than their counterparts with black-sounding names, even when all qualifications are the same?

No.

Was it the study that found white job applicants with criminal records have a better chance of being called back for an interview than black applicants without one, even when all the qualifications are the same?

No.

Was it the study that found the lightest-skinned immigrants to the United States make as much as 15 percent more than the darkest, even when the immigrants in question have the same level of education, experience and measured productivity?

No.

But y'see according to Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity, this condemnation of the Tea Party is a) Pure Politics and b) a False accusation, maligning a good organization. Yes, that's right Miss Palin Death Panel 2010 is outraged - OUTRAGED - that someone would make an unfair "false" accusation against her buddies and pals in the (Mad Mad) Tea Party.

HANNITY: Members of the NAACP are going to vote tomorrow on a resolution that condemns what the group calls — the NAACP — explicitly racist behavior by supporters of the Tea Party Movement.

Wanted to get your reaction to that.

PALIN: Yes. This is some typical divisive politics that is so absolutely unnecessary, especially at this time of turmoil within our country. Turmoil when you consider the state of the economy and so many other challenges that we are facing. This is just so unnecessary.

No, the Tea Party Movement is a beautiful movement, full of diverse people, diverse backgrounds. Folks of all walks of life who, for the most part, happen to oppose President Obama's policies. Not the color of his skin. They don't care that he's half white or half black. It has nothing to do with the person's skin tone —

Diverse people with diverse backgrounds? Urm, not so much via HuffPo

The individuals who make up the Tea Party movement are largely conservative and get their news from Fox; they're generally old and of moderate to low income; and they're fairly convinced that their taxes are going to rise in the next few years, even though they likely won't.More than 80 percent (81 percent) of Tea Party respondents expressed very little approval of Barack Obama's job as president, which exceeded disapproval levels held even by Republicans (77%) and conservatives (79%).

...

All these data points suggest that the Tea Party crowd is comprised predominantly of conservatives. And, not surprisingly, the demographics of the movement seemingly align with those who traditionally vote for the conservative candidate as well. Fifty-six percent of Tea Party respondents are male; 22 percent are over the age of 65 (compared with just 14 percent who are between the ages of 18 and 34); and 23 percent fall in the income range of $50,000 and $75,000.

The data shows they're middle-class, white, conservative and watch nothing but Fox News - so NO Sarah, they're not really that "diverse". You may use that word, but I don't think you really know what it means.

Hannity then chimed in that since no one had claimed $100,000 Breitbart bounty for a video showing Black Congressman being called "Nigger" - even though there were Eye-witnesses there who Heard It - including Reporters!

That just got Palin revved up.

PALIN: Well, it's very unfortunate that they are taking this tactic because it's a false accusation that Tea Party Americans are racist. Any good American hates racism. We don't stand for it. It is unacceptable.

So to be called a racist, yes, those over there on the left who are opposing that good message of Tea Party Americans are using this racism accusation in order to keep people away from not only the movement, but keeping them — keeping a wall built between what the message actually is and the American public that is today receiving that message very well.

False accusation, very unfortunate and again very, very unnecessary. And the president and his wife — you know, the first lady spoke at NAACP so recently, they have power in their words. They could repudiate what it is that this group is saying and they could set the record straight.

And they could — they could correct what this false accusation is that the Tea Party America, that movement, is racist.

Yes, dear reader, you read that correctly - 1/2 Governor Sarah (Palling Around with Terrorists) Palin actually called on the President Obama and Michelle Obama to denounce the NAACP in support of the falsely accused Tea Party.

Yeah, well - let me just answer that by going back to Tim Wise who admittedly went on for quite a while.. it's a veritable exhaustive litany of American bigotry... but here's the part I found particularly relevant.

Well then it must be the blatant stuff. Maybe they finally got around to looking at those images of Tea Party protesters and other assorted conservatives coming to rallies with signs advocating the lynching of Democratic party leaders (HELLO NAACP - LYNCHING!!), or portraying the President as an African witch doctor? Or maybe somebody informed them of all the times that conservative and Republican Party activists have sent around blatantly racist e-mails lately, like those portraying the white house lawn covered in watermelons, or once again with the witch doctor imagery, or likening Michelle Obama to an ape, or picturing the President as a pair of "spook eyes" against a black background?

No.

Maybe they're angry at Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams for calling the President an "Indonesian Muslim" and a "welfare thug?" I mean, that's pretty racialized rhetoric, right?

No.

Or maybe it was the Tea Party leader in Ohio who tweeted about how he wants to shoot Hispanic immigrants, to whom he refers as "spicks?" (sic)

No.

Well then surely it must have been the story about Tea Party candidate for Governor in New York who sent e-mails picturing the President dressed as a pimp and featuring a group of African tribesman performing a traditional dance, which he referred to as the "Obama Inauguration Rehearsal?"

No.

These came not just from a few random Tea Party Protesters, it came from Tea Party LEADERS and Candidates currently running for Office under the Tea Party Banner - rank and file Tea Party members are so comfortable with their own being branded "Racists" they have their own t-Shirts

What was that about "Any good American hates racism. We don't stand for it. It is unacceptable." - seems like the Tea Party accepts it just fine. I have one question for Miss Sarah: exactly where or when has she or ANY TEA PARTY LEADER, instead of acting like Brietbart and literally trying to trivialize it out of existence, stood up and DENOUNCED any of the above? "Won't Stand For it" my bulbous black ass - you stand right next to it and try to make the rest of us believe it's not there - which is frankly, pardon my pure unadulterated English - BullShit!

Nothing to see here - Move Along.. move along...

And yet Palin thinks that President Obama and Michelle Obama should call out the NAACP?

Seriously? To borrow a phrase - That woman is a Fracking Idiot!

The Bogus Berwick Medi-Scare Bruhaha

Returning to their tried and true Health Care Scare-Athon 2010! Chris Wallace of Fux News decided to grill David Axelrod yesterday about the White Houses "Controversial" decision to parachute in during the night with an unprecedented recess (cough - John Bolton - cough) appointment of ("Well Documented Communist and Old People Hater") Donald Berwick to run Medicare and Medicaid.

Strange, and I thought Fox was on the WH's "Do Not Call Back" List...

For those of you who actually spend your time watching actual news, the latest bogus Scandal in the Fox NutWerk is that Dr. Donald Berwick once had the audacity, the bold temerity to admit his Socialist/Facists/Commie leanings by saying this...

Berwick: I am romantic about the NHS. I love it

And...

BIOTECHNOLOGY HEALTHCARE: Critics of CER have said that it will lead to the rationing of healthcare.

BERWICK: We can make a sensible social decision and say, "Well, at this point, to have access to a particular additional benefit [new drug or medical intervention] is so expensive that our taxpayers have better use for those funds." We make those decisions all the time. The decision is not whether or not we will ration care -- the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open. And right now, we are doing it blindly.

See!.. See! It's like we told you - he wants to KILL Old People. He wants them to suffer and die, withering away in Waiting Rooms for days on end until the flesh falls from their bones.

Now if this Berwick character had ever been wise enough to Criticize that evil British National Health System, then we'd be on the right track and could breathe a sigh of relief - since Americans clearly don't want and don't need a Health Care System that doesn't require proof of insurance before they can be seen by a doctor. If he'd only said something more like this...

BERWICK: Is the NHS perfect? Far from it. Far from it. I know that as well as anyone in this room, from front line to Whitehall, I have had the privilege of observing performance and even to help to measure its performance.

[...]

BERWICK: There is less progress in some areas, especially with comparison to other European systems, such as in specialty access, in cancer outcomes, in patient centeredness, in life expectancy and infant mortality for socially deprived populations. In other words, in improving its quality, two facts are true: The NHS in en route, and the NHS has a lot more work ahead.

See this guy is a guy you can trust with our Health Care, He's not blinded by romantic rose colored glasses over those British Death Panels, he has a critical view. Why couldn't the White House appoint THAT GUY?

Excluse me?

That Berwick is Donald Berwick? There must be some mistake, Fox - America's News Station - wouldn't - gulp - Lie or anything would they?

I mean come on, we all know how horrible NHS is - just look at this study from the Digital Journal which said it's hard to a doctor in the UK - On the Weekends!

The 14% who said they waited more than six months for elective surgery was second only to the United Kingdom (15%), compared with a low of 2% in Holland... Almost one-third of Canadians said they had to wait six days or more to get an appointment with their doctor last time they were sick, easily the highest among the seven countries.

The UK also has the worst record for waiting times with 15% having to wait for more than six months for elective treatment.

See next time I need to have an elective kidney transplant I'm not going to Whitehall - I'm getting it done right here in the U.S. of A where all I have to worry about is having my insurance claim denied and paying for it out of my own pocket.

(Also from the same article)

The thing that struck me in this survey is the trouble that Americans have in getting to see their own doctors. As in previous surveys, U.S. adults were most likely to have gone without care because of... high out-of-pocket costs.

Also from the study this report is from actually shows that Canada had the longest wait time for non-critical elective surgerys (which would be like removing a mole or other cosmetic procedure) they were more likely to see their doctor on the same day than either the UK OR THE U.S., and even if you do have to wait a few days - that occurred less frequency in Canada and the UK, than it does in America.

In general the outcomes in Canada and UK are about as good as those in the U.S. (with both Infant Mortality and life expectancy being better THERE, rather than here) only in those countries the overall cost is about half what America pays for Health Care.

According to the World Health Organization the UK Ranks at number 18 in Healthcare outcomes - while the U.S Ranks at Number 37. Their position is TWICE AS GOOD as ours, In overall Life Expectancy they are at #14 while we are at #24. England also has a lower infant mortality rate than the U.S. (4.85 per 1000 births to 6.26). In contrast our Health Expenditures as a percent of GDP is second at 15.4% (behind only the Marshall Islands) while the United Kingdom is in 41st Place at 8.2% of GDP.

(In All seriousness) my wife has been trying to get in to see her OB/GYN for the last - oh THREE MONTHS - but they're so booked up at UCLA Med Center she can't get an appointment. Her only other choice would be to go to their Emergency Room and wait, and bitter past experience has shown us the average wait time at that ER is about 20 Hours.

She's seen people waiting for hours in the ER who'd had the tip of their finger cut-off, crying in pain and bleeding the entire time -- all the attending triage nurses would tell him is "Keep pressure on it" - which of course was an excruciating thing to do without meds, since he hadn't seen a doctor yet to get a prescription. It was a total Horror Show.

And that was in America!

American where we don't countenance RATIONING - except when Insurance Companies do it as Former Cigna Exec Wendell Potter explained to Congress.

To help meet Wall Street's relentless profit expectations, insurers routinely dump policyholders who are less profitable or who get sick

Why would you want to give health care to sick people who've paid for it? Where's the Profit in that?

P.s. When did England become Stalinist Russia?
