Village Voice: White America Has Lost It's Mind

And after actually reading this 5 page article by Steven Thrasher which accurately lists numerous incidents of lunacy from Birtherism to the Grand ACORN Hoax, from the Great White Stampede to protect the Honor and Wisdom of Dr. "N-gger N-gger N-gger" Laura to Fox Disinformation Channel's New Black Panther Freak-out, from Andrew Breitbart's Slander of Shirley Sherrod to Mark William's Demented Letters to Lincoln - White Americans seemed to be losing their mind.

A bit from the article itself.

As with other forms of dementia, the signs weren't obvious at first. After the 2008 election, when former House majority leader Tom DeLay suggested that instead of a formal inauguration, Barack Obama should "have a nice little chicken dinner, and we'll save the $125 million," black folks didn't miss the implication. References to chicken, particularly of the fried variety, have long served as a kind of code when white folks referred to black people and their gustatory preferences—and weren't many of us already accustomed to older white politicians making such gaffes? But who among us sensed that it was a harbinger that an entire nation was plunging into madness?

Admittedly I hadn't heard about that one, but after a two years campaigning in the wake of Reverend Wrong and Barack supposedly "Palling Around with a Domestic Terrorist(s)" (who by the way had never been charged or prosecuted for anything) it shouldn't be a surprise.

Seemed like that, didn't it? After all, what was the beef? Obama's father was Kenyan, and the kid was born in Hawaii—which is barely a part of the United States to begin with (only a state in 1959!). His mother was white, and after the Kenyan guy left, she married an Indonesian guy, so little Barack lived in Jakarta for a while before coming back to Hawaii to be brought up largely by his white grandparents. . . . And that's it? Come on, this was after-school-special material, the kind of thing that brings a tear to your eye because little half-Kenyan/half-white Barry made good, not the stuff of conspiracy novels.

And then came the Birthers.

But the more you shook your head at it, the more it seemed to have taken root deep in the lizard part of the white nervous system. Obama is not an American. He says he's Christian, but he has a Muslim-sounding name. He's not black, he's not white. . . . Is . . . is he even human?

Today, Newsweek has found, nearly a quarter of Americans believe that Obama is a Muslim, with barely 42 percent of the nation accepting his claim that he's a Christian. CNN finds that a quarter of Americans also believe that Obama was "probably or definitely" born in another country.

Harris found in an online poll that 14 percent of Americans believe in their hearts that President Barack Obama is the antichrist, with nearly a quarter of Republicans saying so.

At least in this form, however, Satan (sometimes) wears a flag pin.

Now the article itself is great and full of snark and self-depreciation as it goes from one categorical example of abject insanity to another - however it hasn't really been taken in the same spirit by those it attempts to lampoon. From Steven's own twitter.

@Steven_Thrasher Crazy white people are emailing me crazy shit to prove they're not crazy. Not working. Lots of nice emails, too.

@Steven_Trasher White folks used to shy away from candidates who e-mailed pictures of a woman being fucked by a horse, didn't they? http://tiny.cc/bu7kt

@Steven_Thrasher Love that people scream with authority thatt I'm obviously white or obviously black. We bi's keep them on their toes!

@Steven_Thrasher People have been calling our receptionist to ask if I'm black.

And those letters are something...

Hear now, boy: This week's Village Voice's cover story by staff writer Steven Thrasher, an essay entitled White America Has Lost Its Mind, sure has attracted some interesting attention! Whether or not readers agree with what we have to say, we often get letters from them regarding our stories, many of which are exciting, substantial, or, at the very least, rational, nuanced, and psychologically stable. These letters are none of those things.

Is a temper tantrum. You and your party are about a month away from getting the ass kicking your father should have given you had he been interested enough in his kids to have been around. [...] Here's a suggestion. Get out of NYC for a week or two, and see the real America. We don't hate you because you're black or gay. We hate you because you are a racist, self loathing pile of crap who believes everyone is against them when in reality we just don't care about you. BTW, your father is a great man as much as Obama is a great president. Just because you think it doesn't mean it's true.

Rove says "Prove Me Wrong" - then tries to prove himself wrong

Rather than flinch, back down, fall to his knees and kiss the ring of Limbaugh after going half a round going nose to nose with him the way that Michael Steele and Rep. Todd Tiahrt and Phil Gingrey did or the way Congress generally follows him like a pack of whipped puppy dogs - Karl Rove has actually doubled down on his criticism of Official Republican Candidate for Senate, and full-on-wack-a-doddle, Christine O'Donnell.

Rove: Prove Me Wrong

Don't look out now, but We've got a JUMPER!!

And that Jumper is Karl Rove.

Karl Rove who admittedly hasn't really been right on his predictions since he gave us "The Math" to explain why Republicans would keep control of the House in 2006, and was not that much later - quietly ushered out of the White House and into the Private Sector - seems to have permanently spit out the Kool Aid all over his former pals Michelle Malkin...

"I just finished watching Karl Rove trashing GOP Senate primary winner Christine O'Donnell. It was on Sean Hannity's FNC show. Might as well have been Olbermann on MSNBC," Michelle Malkin wrote on her blog last night. "The establishment Beltway strategist couldn't even bother with an obligatory word of congratulations for O'Donnell."

Over at HotAir, Malkin's take was reposted it under the simple headline, "War." This morning, HotAir blogger Ed Morrissey took his own shot at establishment figures like Rove who he said should get over Mike Castle's defeat last night and hop aboard the O'Donnell train. Morrissey writes that establishment GOP types should rally around their nominee in Delaware, just as they would expect O'Donnell's supporters to do if Castle had won.

"Rarely have I seen such childishness from the supposed leaders of a political establishment, who set the very rules and customs they now want to ignore because they just got embarrassed on a national stage," Morrissey writes. "Grow up, shut up, and get to work."

Rarely? It's not like Charlie Crist, Lisa Murkowsky or Sue Lowden and their supporters all "hopped onto the Tea Train" after they lost their nomination fights. Neither is Mike Castle. I have the feeling all the Cracks in this Tea Pot just might be permanent.

Right, Sarah Palin...?

Palin, who endorsed the tea party-backed O'Donnell, was asked about Rove's comments on Fox News today: "You may have heard Karl Rove just a moment ago suggesting that Christine O'Donnell is not electable as a statewide candidate. Your thoughts?" Palin replied: "Well, bless his heart. We love our friends, they're in the machine, the expert politicos. But my message to those who say that the GOP nominee is not electable, or that they're not even going to try, well I say, 'buck up!'"

Yeah, people said YOU couldn't be elected Vice President and we call all see how that turned out.

And lastly Rush Limbaugh, who nearly popped of vein over Rove's "Betrayal"...

"If 51 seats was really the objective -- if getting the majority is really that important, then let's go balls to the wall for Christine O'Donnell!" Limbaugh screamed on his radio show today after playing a clip of Rove's already infamous anti-O'Donnell interview on Hannity last night.

"Why not fight for it?" Limbaugh asked. "Why not fight for it? Castle's OK as the 51st vote but this woman isn't?"

As a matter of fact, no she's not - because frankly, just like Joe Miller , Sharon Angle, Rand Paul and Carl Paladino - Christine O'Donnel is more than a half-bubble Off Plumb.

She's like a Refugee from Jesus Camp.

And we all remember how much Karl Rove may have been willing to take their votes, but he never had much respect for the Jesus Crowd

Three days later, a Tuesday, Karl Rove summoned [Don] Willett [a former Bush aide from Texas who initially shepharded the program] to his office to announce that the entire faith-based initiative would be rolled out the following Monday. Willett asked just how — without a director, staff, office, or plan — the president could do that. Rove looked at him, took a deep breath, and said, “I don’t know. Just get me a f—ing faith-based thing. Got it?” Willett was shown the door.

Kuo also writes that Rove referred to evangelical leaders as “the nuts,” and claims Rove deputy Ken Mehlman “knowingly participated in a scheme to use the office, and taxpayer funds, to mount ostensibly ‘nonpartisan’ events that were, in reality, designed with the intent of mobilizing religious voters in 20 targeted races.”

Maybe Rove's real problem is that "the nuts' are starting to take over the entier Republican tree. They're handy to have when their under your thumb, but not when their running you out of your party

O'Donnell -- The Government Spends Too Much Money on Aids or Obama is "So Liberal" he's Anti-American.

Not only that as Maddow already reported, O'Donnell is part of the "Pray the Gay Away" Campaign called SALT that flat is noting but flat out FAIL.

According to O'Donnell "Gay has always meant joyful and gleeful, until the homosexual agenda changed the meaning using the same tactics that Hitler's Nazi Germany Did."

Speaking of honesty, here's Christine O'Donnell on Politically Incorrect in 1998 discussing Bill Clinton and "the truth" in the midst of the Lewinsky Scandal with Jasmine Guy and Eddie Izzard. She argues that one should tell the truth and be honest, even if you're were hiding Jews and your house and Nazi's showed up looking for them (A scenario that became the opening scene of Inglorious Bastards)...

This take no prisoners, intolerant, inflexible position on so-called "honesty" is held by a person who at this time claimed to be a college graduate, but hadn't yet paid her back tuition and received her degree, and who sued the Non-profit Right-Wing think tank where she worked for sexual discrimination, claiming they had a policy that "women should be subordinate to men", while they argued that she was running her own for profit business on their time. She also sued them for lost wages, claiming they had denied her an opportunity to join a Master program Princeton when she hadn't even been accepted to a Masters program at Princeton, and as I mentioned before - didn't even have her Bachelors yet.

But she says people need to be "Honest always"? Really? This woman is a cold calculated Con Artist (like most money-grubbing Republican phonies from the Koch brothers to Rick Scott) she a semi-pro pseudo pundit who makes a living saying outrageous crap, it's as if a mashup of Ann Coulter and Monica Goodling had just won the Republican Primary - and the sad part is that all this time on the edge of the spotlight has given her more chops than most people would expect.

I think we risk underestimating her, Sharon Angle, Joe Miller and Rand Paul at our dire peril. The majority of Republicans probably will rally around her, even as non-ideological policy wonks like Rove begin to peel away. The wheels are coming off the Mad Tea Party Train, and exactly how much damage it will do before finally burning out and crashing is anyone's guess.

Update:Predictable as Wet rain - Rove is now walking it Back. Roll Over Rovie. Heel. Fetch! Sit. Good Rovie!!

Update 2: It appears that Rove's initial projection was right on the money - Election Projection - now says that current polling data suggests that Repubs are likely to pick up just 7 seats in the Senate, not 8 - which would leave Democrats with 50 Seats and the majority (and that's not counting either Senator Sanders or Lieberman).

If O'Donnell does defeat Mike Castle, Republicans will likely have to go elsewhere to find the 10 seats needed for the majority.

Update 3: And then there was O'Donnell's accusation of President Clinton of being involved in Vince Foster's Murder on C-Span's Washington Note in 1996 appearing as the Founder of her Anti-Gay group SALT (Savior's Alliance for Lifting the Truth).

Friday, September 3

We can't possibly Lose Congress & America to these Wackjobs!

I mean seriously, are we really looking at having Sharon (Obtuse) Angle as a U.S. Senator instead of Harry Reid? Or Rand (Anti-Civil Rights) Paul? Carly Fiorina who shot her mouth off as financial spokesperson for McCain and was benched as being too embarrassing by his Campaign? Mega Millionaire's Rick (Medicare Fraudster) Scott and Mega-Ebay Bucks Whitmann buying their way into Governorships? Jan (Icabod) Brewer who sees dead head-less torsos in the Arizona Desert? Tim Pawlenty who says the Federal Government is a like a Drug Dealer for cash strapped towns and business?

Were looking at losing Congress to this pack of wackjobs and hucksters?

I mean really?

How the hell can we not be motivated by that?

How the hell can we let people who think that the Constitution was built upon numerous references to "God", "The Free Market" and "Capitalism" be the ones running this Country?

(For the record, No - I'm not against or disparaging "God" or "Capitalism" only people who wrongly think those are Constitutional Tenets when they aren't even mentioned once in the entire document.)

They want to "Take the Country Back" to it's original founding? Back to where the Declaraion of Tea Bagging Independence read: We hold that all White Male Land and Business owners are created (more) equal, with the inalienable right to pursue and exploit anyone elses land, labor or oil especially from Non-Christian Heathen Socialist/Communist Illegal Alien Islamic Scum!

This can't be happening.

The facts are the Illegal Immigration is actually down by 60% over the past two years, while enforcement and deportations are up as much as 25% from the where they were at the start of Bush's first term.

Yet they continue to Fear-Monger and claim Obama has "Done nothing" about it? Yeah, except send 6,000 Troops and Predator Drones to the border.

On our side we have Facts.

On their side they have Ridiculous Bigoted Ass Clown Propogandists like Andrew Breitbart and his buddy/felon James (Pimp Daddy) O'Keefe, Louie (Run from the Terror Babies!) Ghomert, and Paul ("I have a Reverse-Robin Hood budget scheme") Ryan.

During this year the private sector has gained back over 760,000 jobs with a 63,000 private sector job increase reported for August. Yes, of course we need more - much more - but do you really think we're going to get what we need as a nation from Speaker Boehner!?

Let that sink in - we're seriously looking at having SPEAKER JOHN BOEHNER.

Or Senate Majority Leader Mitch (Mc'Chinless) McConnell who takes "Obama at his word" that he's not a Filthy Muslim Traitor.

(shiver)

With the minority they currently have in the House and Senate, Republicans have done everything they could to block relief for small business with increased lending, blocked support for those who remain unemployed, stalled and watered down Wall Street Reform to prevent more financial disasters like the one that we're still recovering from, stalled and watered down desperately needed Health Care Reform, watered down the Economic Stimulus, DEFENDED BP and Big Oil despite their negligence causing the biggest environmental disaster in U.S. History and on and on and on...

It was Bush who ballooned the spending all out of proportion before Obama became President. Nearly all of our current Deficit goes straight back to him.

Together with the economic downturn, the Bush tax cuts and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq explain virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years (see Figure 1).

The deficit for fiscal year 2009 was $1.4 trillion and, at nearly 10 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), was the largest deficit relative to the size of the economy since the end of World War II. If current policies are continued without changes, deficits will likely approach those figures in 2010 and remain near $1 trillion a year for the next decade.

Rather than let Bush's deficit busting tax cuts expire, their agenda is to shut it all down. All of it.

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka said he thinks the Republicans are hinting at shutdown with their promises to defund everything.

"They want to shrink it to where it doesn't work, and then when it doesn't work, they go, 'Look! It doesn't work, get rid of it.' And that's been their strategy all along," Trumka told TPM Thursday after speaking to reporters at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. "They don't talk about how to make things effective; they talk about how to get rid of them."

The push to shut down the government that Dick Morris floated to conservatives last week is picking up some steam. Democrats who experienced the shutdown in 1995 and 1996 told TPM it was disastrous and it would be "un-American" to force people to endure another one.

Their clear goal was to functionally disable the Government, then turn around a whine "See the Government is Disabled - you can't trust it, you can't DEPEND on it - so let us RUN IT (into the ground)!" They're a pack of Bible-thumping nihilists. A God-Squad of Social-Economic Darwinists. Survival of the Most Entitled and Economically Protected Classes Only, screw the rest of us out here in the cold. For them it's as if America was still a frontier, and there was enough open space for anyone to put up a fence, build a cabin and live off the land - (that the government Gave THEM after stealing it from someone else!)

Why on earth would we EVER want to give these guys more power to block, obstruct, limit, defund and destroy our country?

We may not like everything Obama has done or how he's done it. We may be unhappy about the lack of a Public Option, comments about the "Professional Left" or "Fuck the Unions" or Gitmo, Indefinite Detention, escalating Afghanistan, a lack of action on War Crimes Tribunals or Torture Trials. While we may grumble about all that we also have to recall that Obama never campaigned as a Liberal or Progressive so we shouldn't be surprised if he doesn't act like one now, but on the other hand he certainly Isn't a Wackjob like these Frackers!

We're gonna have to grin and bare our disappointments. Pull it together and hit the pavement, and hit the phone banks to support the Democrats this November. Yes, gulp, even the Blue Dogs if they win the nomination. The alternative is too horrible to contemplate. If we can't generate excitement and enthusiasm over all the historic legislation that has passed, from the Lilly Ledbetter Equal Pay Act, to the Matthew Sheppard Hate Crimes Bill, the Nuclear Disarmament Treaty, the Iranian Sanctions, the First Serious Health Reform in 45 years, tax cuts and credits for 95% of Americans and small business to help them hire, $26 Billion to keep our Teachera, Firefighters and Police on the job, saving our economy from collapse and the American Auto Industry from the brink of bankruptcy and disaster, beginning the largest investments in clean energy in history, cutting tax loopholes that encourage businesses to ship our jobs overseas... we need to take a page from the oppositions book and point out exactly what we have to Lose if the other side gains power.

EVERYTHING.

If you don't exactly like the Democratic candidate - just take a look at their opposition and motivate yourself to Keep them Out. If you don't feel energized to vote for something - you've got to get out there and VOTE AGAINST THESE PEOPLE.

We have got to keep them OUT of Power. Period. Let's get energized about that if nothing else.

Tea Party Bigotry - Not just for the Sign Carriers Anymore

According to a New York Times/CBS News Poll which included self-proclaimed "Tea Party Members", they are..

– More than twice as likely as the general public (25% vs 11%) to believe that “the policies of the Obama administration favor blacks over whites.

– Half as likely as the general public (16% to 31%) to believe that “white people have a better chance of getting ahead in today’s society.”

– Almost twice as likely as the general public (52% to 28%) to believe that “too much has been made of the problems facing black people” in recent years.

But it's not like any of that is Racist or anything....

Contrary to the Mark William's claim that that it's "Impossible for the Tea Party to be Racist"... it's seems that that is exactly what they are, and then some...

Williams: It's impossible for the Tea Party to be racist, because it's about the Constitution. It's about individual rights. What's racist about demanding for lower taxes, less intrusive government, no more bailouts and stop the rape of the private sector.

Except for the question of exactly whose going to pay those taxes, because apparently if you ask the Tea Partiers they think it's going to be the "White People" - and whose going to be "intruded on" by the government, they seem to think it's going to be private sector Corporations (run by white people) who have been refusing to give black people loans for the homes and businesses, or to provide them health care.

It's all about the Constitution, except for the the 1st Amendment protections for Freedom of the Press, and Freedom of Religion - and except for the 4th Amendment protection against Unreasonable Search and Seizure since these guys like Racial Profiling of Blacks and Muslims so much - and except for the 5th and 8th Amendment protections against "Self Incrimination" due to "Cruel and Unusual Punishment" when it comes to some Terrorist Scum we want to question - and except for the 14th Amendment guarantee of "Equal Protection for All Persons within the Jurisdiction of the State" when it comes to Marriage Equality, and especially children who are born here no matter what sins their parents may or may not have committed.

Once you peel back the union skin this is what you find....

As TP’s Matt Yglesias wrote in this weekend’s Washington Post, right-wing xenophobes are fueling a “summer of fear” that has its roots in the economic downturn. The strategy of linking racial resentment to fears of economic redistribution and government control under a black presidency — in right-wing storylines including Van Jones, Shirley Sherrod, New Black Panther Party, ACORN, the “Ground Zero Mosque“, and “anchor babies” — is finding a ready audience among the people who identify themselves as tea party supporters.

To this very day Glenn Beck repeatedly uses the clip of President Obama saying "The Police acted Stupidly" as an supposed example of HIS bias. But the facts are the Sgt Crowley Lied on his Police Report.

When I arrived at 17 Ware street I radioed ECC and asked that they have the caller meet me at the front door to this residence. SNIP . As I reached the door, a female voice called out to me. I turned and looked in the direction of the voice and observed a white female, later identified as Lucia Whalen. Whalen, who was standing on the sidewalk in front of the residence, held a wireless telephone in her hand and told me that it was she who called. She went on to tell me that the observed what appeared to be two black males with backpacks on the porch of 17 Ware street.

Lucia Whalen never told him any of that - Lucia Whalen never spoke with Officer Crowley. Calling what he did "Stupid" was frankly an upgrade when compared to the facts.

Shirley Sherrod did NOT unfairly discriminate against a White Farmer as a member of the USDA.

ACORN did not steal the 2008 Election, or attempt to help a Pimp and Prostitute setup of a under-age Sex Ring - they called the Police on them - TWICE.

Van Jones didn't sign a 9-11 Truther Petition.

The New Black Panther Party didn't get away with a PLOT to block White People from Voting in Philadelphia.

But these are the things that these people believe, just like their irrational belief in Death Panels.

In a broad study of adults in Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, and California conducted between February and March, the University of Washington Institute for the Study of Ethnicity, Race, and Sexuality (WISER) asked a number of questions about “racial resentment” — such as whether blacks don’t try hard enough or have gotten more than they deserve. Conservatives are 23 percent more likely to be racially resentful, and Republicans 15 percent more likely than Democrats. However, the institute found that this racial sentiment isn’t simply a byproduct of white conservativism:

[E]ven as we account for conservatism and partisanship, support for the Tea Party remains a valid predictor of racial resentment.

It is untrue, as political commentator Dave Weigel argues, that racism in the Tea Party is merely reflective of its conservatism. The WISER study found that compared to other conservatives, Tea Party supporters are:

– 25 percent more likely to have racial resentment.

– 27 percent more likely to support racial profiling.

– 28 percent more likely to support indefinite detention without charges.

Tea Party supporters are also significantly more likely to hold racial stereotypes, with a majority believing blacks are not hard-working, intelligent, or trustworthy. Their fear of others transcends race, however — the WISER study found that a majority of tea party adherents distrust Latinos, Asians, and other whites as well.

See there, at least their equal opportunity paranoids. They fear and loath everyone different from themselves equally. This is why we're having these ridiculous battles over who can put a mosque where - despite our alleged 1st Amendment Right to Freedom of Religion. This is we're hearing so much suddenly about changing the 14th Amendment to prevent Anchor Babies, and why they losing their God Damned Minds over Judge Walker's calm rational Equal Protection Decision in the Prop 8 case.

They're Bigots, plain and simple.

And the Republican Party (and Fox News) is planning to continually play the "White FEAR CARD" - the Southern Strategy Redux in order to ride this wave of paranoia right back into control of Congress.

The sad thing is that it just might work too - if we let them get away with it.

Tea Party Comix Creator: I'm a Hater - Not a Racist

If you haven't seen any of these Comix Images yet - get ready to be shocked, and then shocked again when you read how the creator of the clearly racist, bigoted and ignorant books reacted when confronted with his Hatred.

From Talking Points Memo

The books were first flagged by Ethan Persoff, the comic book blogger who brought us the hilarious Defense Department Don't Ask, Don't Tell explanation comic book "Dignity and Respect." Pershoff told Rachel Maddow's blog that he bought the first issue of the comic (there are at least three) somewhere in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Each issue of the comic (there are three out on the net) is very, very racist, pulling no punches when it comes to bashing President Obama with the familiar tea party complaints about spending, fears of a biased judiciary and even the infamous death panels (featuring a bonus offensive image of a large-nosed Ezekiel Emanuel.) There's something else interesting about them, one comic book expert at the Atomic Comics megastore in Mesa, Arizona told me today: they're clearly drawn by someone who knows a lot about comics. Each is a fairly faithful parody of a well-known comic book cover.

On this they are right on the money as shown here.

Yeah, it's not like any of that is reminiscent of any of this...

As you might expect in true Tea Party Form, rather than apologize for these Comix, members of the Tea Party instead denied that they were done by a TRUE Tea Partier, claiming instead that they were "a plant"?

"This is not something that is floating around Corpus Christi," Kathy Burnette, president of the largest Corpus Christi, Texas tea party group, told me. "This is the first we've seen or heard of it."

Burnette said her group "unequivocally denounces" the comic book, and said the "content is in poor taste at best and does nothing but cause more division in a time when our country needs unity." She added "racism has no place in our movement or our nation."

Shelby Blakely, executive director of the Tea Party Patriots' official online publication Patriot Journal said fakery in the comics was obvious.

"It's a plant and a bad one at that," she told me. "The truth is in the details."

Blakely said the comic does not have the feel of a tea party "giveaway," which is how one dealer on eBay characterizes it (attempts to reach the dealer today were unsuccessful). Plus, she said, imagery like the Tea Party Comix would raise flags instantly among tea party groups.

Denial is not just a River in Egypt.

That was their story on day one, but now on day two the actual creator of these Comix has come forward to whine that he's NOT a racist, he's just a Hater - the worm has turned.

Subject: TEA PARTY COMIX Thursday, July 29, 2010 5:23 AM

From: [Name and email address redacted by EP.TC]

To: Ethan Persoff

I have taken all TEA PARTY COMIX OFF of [Internet marketplace]. I hope you are happy and I hope the world is a little bit better better place in which to live now. ....I do not understand the connection with "big ears" and "racism", and I do not understand how a "dark face" implies racism...... The accusation of "Hate" is true, but it is the hate of an IDEOLGY, not a of race of people..... I understand that the ideology has captured 80 or 90% of the race(s) in question, but it is STILL a AN IDEOLOGY and NOT a "race" that this comic book attacks.... Cartoonists have historically drawn "the enemy" in a negative light... Please search cartoons of Reagan and Bush for instance ( and please see my caracature of Janet Napolatano in Tea Party Comix #2!)..... Think, and you will have to admit there was NO LIMIT placed upon these depictions.... But somehow, ANY negative drawing of Presient Obama is automatically "racist"... Be honest with yourself, if it is possible. ....Think. And maybe admit that you have an advantage that you are taking advantage OF..... In Tea Party Comix #1 there is a strip in which a person handing out Tea Party Comix #1 has an ALAN KEYES tee-shirt... Did you upload THAT strip?? Not that it would matter to people who think that RACE is more important than IDEOLOGY, but I would think that a fair-minded person might include that strip....

You can edit this and make me into any monster you like, that's up to you. We'll see what a moral person you are, and you can live with that. I'm sure you will be safer than I feel tonight, either way......

The undergrounds of the sixties WERE "allowed". Apparently "Tea Party Comix" are NOT allowed.... To any reasonable man, well, this miight give him something to think about, about how far we have "come"..... Is it truely a BETTER world?? You tell ME! - [name redacted ]

So his serious defense is that his Hate Inspired books aren't "racist" because they only show his anger at a group of people, not because of their skin-tone, but because they share a particular common cultural trait? (ie. Liberals)

How is Hating people who generally agree with Noam Chomsky that different from Hating a groups who believe in the teachings of Mohammad, or Buddha, or Bahia, or Jesus of Nazareth?

Is that not still BIGOTRY?

And for the record the fact that he features someone in an Alan (The Neo-Con Steppin Fetchit) Keyes T-shirt as a "Good Guy" after having a "Big nosed" image of Rahm Emmanuel's (more than a bit jewish) brother is not really convincing.

The funny thing about this is that I pretty much predicted this new strain of racism & bigotry four years ago when I declared Liberal Bashing : The New Racism

John Lennon once sang that "Woman is the Nigger of the World". In the last few weeks, something has become increasing clear to me. Times have indeed changed from the bad-old days of the Civil Rights movement and women's suffrage. No longer is it women who are the chief second-class citizen of this nation. It's not the gays. It's not the immigrants. It's not minorities, be they Black, Brown, Red or Yellow.

Granted, there are an increasing number of issues which affect each of them, but the one method for getting a full on smash-mouth whack at all the above - without being called nasty names, and being accused of being incivil, impolite, or basically a Fucking Dick - is to attack just one group.

Liberals.

You don't have to say you hate "Black People" anymore, all you have to say is you believe in a "Strong Work Ethic" (unlike those Lazy Black people) and you oppose "Socialism" and "Marxism" (especially from people like that Martin Luther King Jr. guy) and you believe in American Exceptionalism (because everyone else from every other Country is Inferior) - but it has nothing to do with disliking other people from other races and backgrounds, it's all "Ideology".

Not getting the "Message"?

All you have to do is listen to the "Heroes" of the Right to hear the message.

Glenn Beck: Liberals want to rape immigrants by denying them social security!

Joe Klein: No doubt "solutions" was a slip--but the notion that "Democratic ideas" might not be an oxymoron represented one small step forward for the perpetually benighted Donkey party

Rush Limbaugh : Let me tell you something, the Democrats are more fearful -- and I've told you this too -- they're more fearful of Christians than they are of Al Qaeda.

And our all time favorite potty-mouth girl, Ann Coulter : I think the government should be spying on all Arabs, engaging in torture as a televised spectator sport, dropping daisy cutters wantonly throughout the Middle East and sending liberals to Guantanamo.

Is this over-the-top hateful rhetoric really all that different from this argument from "Birth of a Nation"?

The white men were roused by the mere instinct of self-preservation -- until at last there had sprung into existence a great Klu Klux Klan, a veritable empire of the South, to protect the Southern Country.

See, they just wanted Their Country Back Too...

Yet somehow this douch-nozzle thinks what he's done is in some way NOT as vile, hateful and destructive as what D.W. Griffith did with "Birth of a Nation"? It's not as distorted, twisted and bigoted as the Yellow Peril Comics of the 1930's, 40's and 50's?

Is it not raw naked bigotry?

One could argue that the left has been just as verbally and visual biting with those on the Right, however I would include this one caveat - the Left didn't have Make Shit UP about the Right - all they had to do was accurate document them and let the painful truth burn. We didn't have to Lie about Bush exploding the Deficit, Crashing the Economy or falsely invading Iraq or Abu Ghraib, or Gitmo, or Warrantless Wiretaps or Torture and ignoring Bin Laden until it was too late - all of that HAPPENED. But the Right has to Turn Obama into a Characatured SUPERVILLIAN and still none of their criticisms stick because they aren't based on fact or reality (there are NO Death Panels, the Goverment didn't TAKE OVER the Auto Industry or Wall Street, BP wasn't SHAKEN DOWN to create a Slush Fund, there are no FEMA CAMPS, Financial Reform will not take your Bank Account Away) it's all nothing but BUllSHIT and Irrational HATE.

Yet again, Denial is not just a River in Egypt.

One more point: What would happen if the Tea Party held a "Uni-Tea" Diversity rally and nobody but the White People came? Was it because of the Ideology or the Hatred?

Operation Scared Shitless - The Fox Race War

Sam just perfectly nails this entire big feces pile that started with Breitbart and landed on the White House lawn like a burning firepie. And then Secretary Vilsack had to panic and stomp on it spread Breitbart's crap all over the place.

Glad somebody finally got the water-hose and cleaned this mess up.

How Shirley Sherrod got ACORNed!

Wherein Breitbart Doubles-Down on his Bigotry Fueled Partisan attack on all Democrats everywhere... especially the Black ones.

Here's the full 43 minutes of what Shirey Sherrod actually said to the NAACP:

The fact is that Andrew Breitbart got it wrong. He pushed a bogusly edited video into the public sphere without doing ANY due diligence, without doing any research on the issue that he admits he knew about since March, and deliberately instigated this knee-jerk outrage to smeared an innocent women who certainly is NOT a Racist or bigot, just to GET BACK AT THE NAACP for daring to criticize the Tea Party.

And still he proclaims there are NO RACISTS in the Tea Party at all - none. That there's no evidence - like all of us are blind and dumb or something when we see "Obama: Monkey See - Monkey Spend!" signs.

Even after the great Mark Williams' meltdown - continues to deny the obvious.

Breitbart got it wrong (on purpose). The NAACP got it wrong when they initially condemned her comments before they had a chance to review the full tape. Secretary Vilsack and the White House hot it wrong when they decided to force her resignation.

However, some people - unlike Breitbart, or Sarah (Refudiate IT) Palin - are capable of correcting a mistake. This is what NAACP head Ben Jealous said once he had the full story, saw the full tape and spoke with Shirley.

The fact is Ms. Sherrod did help the white farmers mentioned in her speech. They personally credit her with helping to save their family farm.

Moreover, this incident and the lesson it prompted occurred more that 20 years before she went to work for USDA.

Finally, she was sharing this account as part of a story of transformation and redemption. In the full video, Ms.Sherrod says she realized that the dislocation of farmers is about "haves and have nots." "It's not just about black people, it's about poor people," says Sherrod in the speech. "We have to get to the point where race exists but it doesn't matter."

This is a teachable moment, for activists and for journalists.

Most Americans agree that racism has no place in American Society. We also believe that civil and human rights have to be measured by a single yardstick.

The NAACP has demonstrated its commitment to live by that standard.

The Tea Party Federation took a step in that direction when it expelled the Tea Party Express over the weekend. Unfortunately, we have yet to hear from other leaders in the Tea Party movement like Dick Armey and Sarah Palin, who have been virtually silent on the "internal bigotry" issue.

Next time we are confronted by a racial controversy broken by Fox News or their allies in the Tea Party like Mr. Breitbart, we will consider the source and be more deliberate in responding. The tape of Ms. Sherrod's speech at an NAACP banquet was deliberately edited to create a false impression of racial bias, and to create a controversy where none existed. This just shows the lengths to which extremist elements will go to discredit legitimate opposition.

Even Glenn Beck realized that the initial the tape doesn't absolutely show her to be a racist. (Although he does go on into his usual odd communist/marxist conspiracy theories about why she was "Really" fired!)

The only person who still doesn't know he got it wrong - is Breitbart as he appeared on CNN's John King USA and claimed "There are MORE Racist things she says on the tape.."

"This was not about Shirley Sherrod," Breitbart said Tuesday in an interview set to air on CNN's John King, USA.

"This was about the NAACP attacking the Tea Party and this [the video of Sherrod] is showing racism at an NAACP event. I did not ask for Shirley Sherrod to be fired. I did not ask for any repercussions for Shirley Sherrod. They were the ones that took the initiative to get rid of her. I – I do not – I think she should have the right to defend herself."

Breitbart also described his decision to publish the Sherrod video as an effort to expose what he sees as the NAACP's hypocrisy when it comes to allegations of racism.

"[R]acism is used by the left and the Democratic Party to shut up opposition," Breitbart told CNN Chief National Correspondent John King, "And [by releasing the Sherrod video] I am showing you that people who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones."

Breitbart's entire argument here is that the NAACP wrongly accused the ENTIRE Tea Party of being Racist, therefore he decided to show them a Racist in their own midst.

On both points he FAILS.

The NAACP and Ben Jealous never said the entire Tea Party was Racists, they simply asked them to discipline and control some of their more Racist Elements like Mark Williams - which they ultimately DID.

Ben Jealous clearly admits he and the NAACP made a mistake with Sherrod, and explains that sometimes a "Zero Tolerance" policy can also mean "Zero Thought".

Shirley Sherrod is about as far away from a Racists as you could possibly find, because she was able - unlike many - to recognizing the wrongness of her own biases and OVERCOME them. She did this despite the fact that her own father was killed in a racial incident by a white assailant, and the perpetrator never indicted by a Grand Jury (She said this to Rick Sanchez on CNN).

But just like the other set of bogus ACORN videos foisted on us by Breitbart and his convict cohort O'Keefe, the over reaction here has again done unwarranted damage to an innocent persons career. Just as Van Jones comments were taken out of context and distorted. Just as Sonia Sotomayor's comments about a "Wise Latina" were turned upside-down. Just as ABC falsely edited the Reverend Wright Tapes to distort and blow his statements out of proportion.

Of all these I think the Reverend Wright situation is most illustrative, because was at least initially handled the way we all would have liked to see this situation handled. With caution and care - soon it became clear that worse of what they claimed about him wasn't true - but after weeks of arguing that things couldn't have been as they appeared on tape, All Hell Broke Loose when Wright himself took his Full-On Crazy Black Man Act to the National Press Club.

I think that experienced burned this administration far more badly and deeply than any of us may truly know, and that's why Van Jones got the boot so quickly, and why Sherrod had to pull over and text in her resignation Immediately. (And yet, for some reason Ken Salizar is still there, and Tim Geithner's inability to file his taxes correctly doesn't seem to matter... I'm sadly going to agree with Beck here - they've stayed (possibly) because They AREN'T Black.

I'm not saying their "Racist" at all, I suggesting that the Administration doesn't want to get bogged down in re-litigating every racial issue in the country, and they themselves might be more than a little over-reactive when trying to block and defuse allegations of pro-Black racial bias on their part, which leads somewhat to the opposite.

Please remember Obama did Sign that silly "Defund ACORN" legislation even though is an obvious unconstitutional bill of attainder.

Just as I was when Obama broke all ties to Wright, I'm Disappointed in Vilsack's decision to sack Sherrod without all the facts (A decision he may soon, like the NAACP be reviewing and correcting) but I do understand it.

In the end, just like the others, Shirley Sherrod is a Scapegoat, yet another scalp collected by the Wingnuts in their never-ending Jihad against the Obama Administration. Just like ACORN, just like Van Jones.

How many more people like this are we going to lose? How many more are going to be hounded out of the public sphere by vicious little partisan turds like Breitbart?

The truth is that Shirley Sherrod is a Hero. She's the kind of person we should all aspire to be. We all have biased, we all have preferences, we all have people we're more comfortable with and those we're less comfortable with. That's just being human, but those who are able to rise above them is exactly who we all could be, and should be.

Not being forced to pull over and send in our Resignation Via Text Message on the Interstate.

We can blame the Administration, Vilsack and NAACP for initially over-reacting - because they did - but the real blame belongs where all of this began, on the back of the guy who with his own words admits he doesn't care about Shirley Sherrod, but instead wanted to torpedo the NAACP and Administration with a bogus smear... the blame belongs with Andrew Breitbart.

Update: Just saw a brief clip of Breitbart on MSNBC this morning - his NEW claim is that poor Sherrod was railroaded unfairly by the NAACP and Administration - but that "the real problem is The NAACP'S RACISM."

Uh, what? If Sherrod was treated unfairly (and she was), it's because she isn't the racist your site proclaimed she is - and that incorrect presentation wasn't the fault of the NAACP or Secretary Vilsack, it's YOURS!
This douche is spinning so fast, he doesn't even know which direction he's pointing anymore.

Mark Williams & TP Express Expelled from National Tea Party

Well, it's about damn time... but it appears that his horrifically bigoted mock letter attempting to parody and demean NAACP Leader Ben Jealous has ended up costing Mark Williams his head.

David Webb (Head of National Tea Party Federation) In the last 24 hours, Mark Wiliams and the Tea Party Express have been expelled

How did the NAACP manage to give a Top Tea Bagger the SACK in less than a week? Like this...

Today, NAACP delegates passed a resolution to condemn extremist elements within the Tea Party, calling on Tea Party leaders to repudiate those in their ranks who use racist language in their signs and speeches.

The resolution came after a year of high-profile media coverage of attendees of Tea Party marches using vial, antagonistic racial slurs & images. In March, respected members of the Congressional Black Caucus reported that racial epithets were hurled at them as they passed by a Washington, DC health care protest.

Via Face the Nation

Hey, look at that there is a member of the Tea Party that isn't a complete fracking jerk. Well almost. In this segment he actually criticizes the NAACP for "Selective Racism" since they haven't called out the New Black Panther Party for threatening "Cracker Babies!"

But here's the thing, the Black Panthers aren't members of the NAACP, while people like Mark (Obama is an Indonesian Muslim turned Welfare Thug-in-Chief) Williams is WAS in the Tea Party. Or People like Arkansas Tea Party Candidate for Governor Bill Roper who said this.

Billy Roper is a write-in candidate for governor of Arkansas and an unapologetic white nationalist. “I don’t want non-whites in my country in any form or fashion or any status,” he says.

Roper also is a tea party member who says he has been gathering support for his cause by attending tea party rallies. “We go to these tea parties all over the country,” Roper said. “We’re looking for the younger, potentially more radical people.”

Apparently the Tea Party wouldn't have done anything about Williams if the NAACP hadn't made an issue of this (and won't do anything about Roper), but rather than say "Thanks, we simply didn't know this guy is a bleeding jackoff..." they play the "I know you are, but what am i?" game?

If the Tea Party can't clean it's own house better than this without being nagged into it, how do they expect anyone to trust them at running The Out Our House?

For the record, Ben has no problem caliing the Panthers out (even though it was only ONE of them who said that), but David's first response to allegations of racism in the Tea Party is that - well, it's only a FEW of them?

Really dude, that's your excuse? That's your fall back position? Like Kathy Griffin's Mom would say after Kathy would call the Catholic Church a bunch of "Kid Fuckers"...

"Not, All of them!"

Which begs the question, just how many does it take?

NAACP vs Tea Party - to the Pain

The NAACP has now Officially Voted to condemn the Racist Elements within the Tea Party, and boy is the Tea Party Mad!!

Again...

Ok, STILL!
Civil rights legend John Lewis was called the “n-word” in the incident while others in the crowd used ugly anti-gay slurs to describe Congressman Barney Frank, a long-time NAACP supporter and the nation’s first openly gay member of Congress.
Missouri Representative Emmanuel Cleaver was spat on during the incident, and so it was particularly appropriate that the resolution was passed as NAACP delegates gathered in Kansas City for our 101st Annual Convention.

The NAACP did NOT say that everyone in the Tea Party was a racist, they simply pointed out that some of them have made some clearly bigoted statements and ANY responsible organization should denounced those types of statements, instead the Tea Party and their supporters have decided to denounce - THE NAACP!

In this clip from Countdown, NAACP head Ben Jealous makes the point that they've received Death Threats at their LA Offices for their resolution. How better do you define violent rhetoric that when someone speaks out against it, people direct VIOLENT rhetoric against them.

In response, Thinkprogress has a new video on Tea Party Racism.

I think this video goes the wrong direction. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been seriously critical of the Tea Party and their tacit support of Racism, but some of these clips are bad choices. That second guy shown “I’m a proud racists, I’m white” – was essentially kicked OUT of a Tea Party event as I documented on Dailykos. The guy who says “We Can’t Kill Obama” wasn’t advocating it, he was advocating defeating them electorally, because that’s what he said next. The “Yup, I’m A Racist” shirt is supposed to be Sarcasm, although all it really is – is Just Tragically Misguided Irony.

By using some questionable clips here I believe Thinkprogress may be opening themselves up to criticism from people like Andrew Breitbart, who thinks Congress was deliberately "provoking" the N-Word (and the F-Word) against themselves during the contentious passage of Health Care - and have been lying about it ever since.

This Brietbart claims even though CNN reporters and even Joe Trumka of the AFL/CIO heard the N-word themselves, and the F-Word against Barney Frank was caught on videotape.

Hey Andrew, if that's the only act of Racism you can find in among the Tea Party - you haven't been seriously looking. Here's a better Video showing Tea Party Racism...

Besides the signs, all you have to do to find their racism is listen to Tea Party Express Spokesman Mark Williams for a few minutes.

Williams on the NAACP:

WILLIAMS: You’re dealing with people who are professional race baiters, who make a very good living off this kind of thing. They make more money off of race than any slave trader ever. It’s time groups like the NAACP went to the trash heap of history where they belong with all the other vile racist groups that emerged in our history.

The purpose of the NAACP at it's start was to stop the Lynching of Black Men in America by The Klan. They continue today address situations like the brutal shooting of Oscar Grant.

As Tim Wise Documented, the balance between the Races is nowhere NEAR equal.

In this day and age research indicates that job applicants with white sounding names have a 50 percent better chance of being called back for an interview than their counterparts with black-sounding names, even when all qualifications are the same?

In this day and age studies still find that white job applicants with criminal records have a better chance of being called back for an interview than black applicants without one, even when all the qualifications are the same?

In this day and age evidence suggestes millions of cases of race-based housing discrimination against people of color occur each year.

In this day and age data from the Justice Department shows that blacks are far more likely than whites to have their cars and persons searched after a traffic stop, even though whites, when searched, are more than four times as likely to have drugs or other illegal contraband on us?

In this day and age the data shows that although whites and blacks use and sell drugs at roughly the same rates, African Americans are anywhere from 2.8 to 5.5 times more likely than whites to be arrested for a drug offense, depending on the year.

And.. the state level data indicating that in nine states, blacks are arrested at more than seven times the rate of whites, and in Minnesota and Iowa at rates that are more than eleven times greater than white arrest rates for drugs.

And... additional data that blacks are more than 10 times as likely as whites to be sent to prison for drug offenses, despite relatively equivalent rates of drug crimes.

And... the fact that a majority of persons admitted to prison for drug offenses are black, even though there are about six times more white users nationwide.
But y'know the NAACP - an organization that is 101 years old - is just a bunch Race Hustlers looking to make a buck off of White Guilt and Black Indignation. Yeah, right.

Anywhere here's what Williams says about Muslims.

[R]epeat after me: Islam is a 7th Century Death Cult coughed up by a psychotic pedophile and embraced by defective, tail sprouting, tree swinging, semi-human, bipedal primates with no claim to be treated like human beings or even desirable mammals for that matter.

So this guys not bigoted AT ALL, eh? In response members of the Tea Party have claimed that none of this has "anything to do with the Tea Party" - Oh really, statements by YOUR OFFICIAL SPOKESMAN have nothing to do with you?

Why is he even speaking then? What's he doing on TV supposedly representing the TEA PARTY and saying things like this? What about when he was on Anderson Cooper and called Obama an "Indonesian Muslim turned Welfare Thug, and a Racist-in-Chief".

This guy is a total loony toon - and he's a TEA PARTY loony tune!

But we shouldn't worry just about him, what we really need to be wondering and worried about is how many of these people from the McCain/Palin's rallies as documented in "Right America, Feeling Wronged" are now part of the Tea Party? And how many people will come out of the woodwork to make excuses and ratiionalizations for them?

Don't think SOME Conservatives in the Tea Party are Racist and Bigoted? Think again.

NAACP Calls out Tea Party Racism, Palin Calls for Apology - to Tea Party

Today the NAACP at it's 101st Annual Convention is scheduled to vote on whether to condemn the "Racist Elements" that have been on display within the Tea Party. Keith and Melissa address it - I think - quite fairly noting first of all that not everyone in that group is, or even could be, a Racist - just some of them.

People these days seem to really forget just who and what the NAACP really is. It was an organization began by both black and white people to help curb the scurge of Lynchings across America. Medger Evers was an NAACP leader. Rosa Parks was an NAACP member. Today the NAACP is standing up against the unjust verdict in the Oscar Grant Shooting, and against Arizona's SB1070.

The need for such an organization was made crystal clear yesterday by Tim Wise's Must Read Tour-De-Force post on modern day discrimination and racism... Black Power's Gonna Git You Sucka

Prominent white conservatives are angry about racism.

What is it that woke them up finally, after all these years of denial, during which they insisted that racism was a thing of the past?

Was it the research indicating that job applicants with white sounding names have a 50 percent better chance of being called back for an interview than their counterparts with black-sounding names, even when all qualifications are the same?

No.

Was it the study that found white job applicants with criminal records have a better chance of being called back for an interview than black applicants without one, even when all the qualifications are the same?

No.

Was it the study that found the lightest-skinned immigrants to the United States make as much as 15 percent more than the darkest, even when the immigrants in question have the same level of education, experience and measured productivity?

No.

But y'see according to Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity, this condemnation of the Tea Party is a) Pure Politics and b) a False accusation, maligning a good organization. Yes, that's right Miss Palin Death Panel 2010 is outraged - OUTRAGED - that someone would make an unfair "false" accusation against her buddies and pals in the (Mad Mad) Tea Party.

HANNITY: Members of the NAACP are going to vote tomorrow on a resolution that condemns what the group calls — the NAACP — explicitly racist behavior by supporters of the Tea Party Movement.

Wanted to get your reaction to that.

PALIN: Yes. This is some typical divisive politics that is so absolutely unnecessary, especially at this time of turmoil within our country. Turmoil when you consider the state of the economy and so many other challenges that we are facing. This is just so unnecessary.

No, the Tea Party Movement is a beautiful movement, full of diverse people, diverse backgrounds. Folks of all walks of life who, for the most part, happen to oppose President Obama's policies. Not the color of his skin. They don't care that he's half white or half black. It has nothing to do with the person's skin tone —

Diverse people with diverse backgrounds? Urm, not so much via HuffPo

The individuals who make up the Tea Party movement are largely conservative and get their news from Fox; they're generally old and of moderate to low income; and they're fairly convinced that their taxes are going to rise in the next few years, even though they likely won't.More than 80 percent (81 percent) of Tea Party respondents expressed very little approval of Barack Obama's job as president, which exceeded disapproval levels held even by Republicans (77%) and conservatives (79%).

...

All these data points suggest that the Tea Party crowd is comprised predominantly of conservatives. And, not surprisingly, the demographics of the movement seemingly align with those who traditionally vote for the conservative candidate as well. Fifty-six percent of Tea Party respondents are male; 22 percent are over the age of 65 (compared with just 14 percent who are between the ages of 18 and 34); and 23 percent fall in the income range of $50,000 and $75,000.

The data shows they're middle-class, white, conservative and watch nothing but Fox News - so NO Sarah, they're not really that "diverse". You may use that word, but I don't think you really know what it means.

Hannity then chimed in that since no one had claimed $100,000 Breitbart bounty for a video showing Black Congressman being called "Nigger" - even though there were Eye-witnesses there who Heard It - including Reporters!

That just got Palin revved up.

PALIN: Well, it's very unfortunate that they are taking this tactic because it's a false accusation that Tea Party Americans are racist. Any good American hates racism. We don't stand for it. It is unacceptable.

So to be called a racist, yes, those over there on the left who are opposing that good message of Tea Party Americans are using this racism accusation in order to keep people away from not only the movement, but keeping them — keeping a wall built between what the message actually is and the American public that is today receiving that message very well.

False accusation, very unfortunate and again very, very unnecessary. And the president and his wife — you know, the first lady spoke at NAACP so recently, they have power in their words. They could repudiate what it is that this group is saying and they could set the record straight.

And they could — they could correct what this false accusation is that the Tea Party America, that movement, is racist.

Yes, dear reader, you read that correctly - 1/2 Governor Sarah (Palling Around with Terrorists) Palin actually called on the President Obama and Michelle Obama to denounce the NAACP in support of the falsely accused Tea Party.

Yeah, well - let me just answer that by going back to Tim Wise who admittedly went on for quite a while.. it's a veritable exhaustive litany of American bigotry... but here's the part I found particularly relevant.

Well then it must be the blatant stuff. Maybe they finally got around to looking at those images of Tea Party protesters and other assorted conservatives coming to rallies with signs advocating the lynching of Democratic party leaders (HELLO NAACP - LYNCHING!!), or portraying the President as an African witch doctor? Or maybe somebody informed them of all the times that conservative and Republican Party activists have sent around blatantly racist e-mails lately, like those portraying the white house lawn covered in watermelons, or once again with the witch doctor imagery, or likening Michelle Obama to an ape, or picturing the President as a pair of "spook eyes" against a black background?

No.

Maybe they're angry at Tea Party Express leader Mark Williams for calling the President an "Indonesian Muslim" and a "welfare thug?" I mean, that's pretty racialized rhetoric, right?

No.

Or maybe it was the Tea Party leader in Ohio who tweeted about how he wants to shoot Hispanic immigrants, to whom he refers as "spicks?" (sic)

No.

Well then surely it must have been the story about Tea Party candidate for Governor in New York who sent e-mails picturing the President dressed as a pimp and featuring a group of African tribesman performing a traditional dance, which he referred to as the "Obama Inauguration Rehearsal?"

No.

These came not just from a few random Tea Party Protesters, it came from Tea Party LEADERS and Candidates currently running for Office under the Tea Party Banner - rank and file Tea Party members are so comfortable with their own being branded "Racists" they have their own t-Shirts

What was that about "Any good American hates racism. We don't stand for it. It is unacceptable." - seems like the Tea Party accepts it just fine. I have one question for Miss Sarah: exactly where or when has she or ANY TEA PARTY LEADER, instead of acting like Brietbart and literally trying to trivialize it out of existence, stood up and DENOUNCED any of the above? "Won't Stand For it" my bulbous black ass - you stand right next to it and try to make the rest of us believe it's not there - which is frankly, pardon my pure unadulterated English - BullShit!

Nothing to see here - Move Along.. move along...

And yet Palin thinks that President Obama and Michelle Obama should call out the NAACP?

Seriously? To borrow a phrase - That woman is a Fracking Idiot!

Difference Between Tea Party & GOP Base? None

A new Gallup Poll reveals that the people who identify themselves as Tea Partiers, and those who represent the GOP "Base" are virtually the same.

So what we see here is that the allegedly brand spanking new "Tea Party" - is really just the rotted core of the same Old not-so-Grand Party. Surprise, surprise...

But then again, it's not as if there weren't some hints.

From the HBO Documentary "Right America, Feeling Wronged" which documented the McCain/Palin campaign and their supporters - it's not like some of the rank distrust of Obama and Democrats just suddenly happened after he was elected President.

Obama is a Muslim.

Obama is a Terrorists.

Obama Hates America.

He's going to swear his oath of allegiance on the Quoran.

He won't wear a Flag Pin.

He won't pledge allegiance to the Flag.

McCain just didn't take the Gloves Off.

The way the youth is behind him, all I could think of is "Hitler Youth".

The fact is that the Tea Party are just a pack of bitter Conservative Republicans who can't stand the fact they lost - they're nothing more then Sore Losers!.

You can argue that some of the crazy statements by supporters in this video don't matter - except that we've been hearing just as crazy stuff for quite a while from elected (and nearly elected) Republicans. What's even funnier is to watch how fast they run when they get called on it.

People like John Boehner, who now say "Nobody ever said the Stimulus wouldn't produce any jobs" --- except that HE DID. (And so did Scott Brown)

Wanna see what Obama has done to our Jobs? This.

Or Rep. Steve King who says Obama hasn't helped out Lousisiana on the BP Oil Spill because "Bobby Jindal is a Republican". So is that why George Bush did such a shitty job during Katrina, because Jindal's predecessor was a Democrat? That's Really your argument Steve, that the President is that Petty? Maybe it's because he hates White People, cuz he's only "Half White" or he hates Christians since he was Sworn In on the Quoran!

Hint to the Sarcasm Challenged, that was a Joke!

Tea Party Wacko or GOP Base - it does tend to sound the same if you bother to listen to them doesn't it?

Then there's Wannabe Senator/Tea Party Crown Prince Rand Paul who said he thinks the Public Accommodations portion of the Civil Rights Act goes too far... but then he wouldn't try to REPEAL it or anything. Sure you wouldn't.

Poor Rand Paul has been so maligned See he doesn't want to repeal Civil Rights, he only wants to abolish the American's With Disabilities Act. Paul also thinks the EPA is Running Amok with too many restrictive regulations, Doesn't think anyone's going to miss a Few Mountains Here and There that have been mined into oblivion, and has endorsed banning guaranteed citizenship to people who were BORN in America.

Golly Gee Willickers, how much more UnAmerican can you get than that!?

Lastly there's Wannabe Senator Sharon Angle who is rapidly trying to SCRUB (rinse and repeat) any evidence of her past radical statements such as...

Abolishing Social Security:

Social Security and its attendant Medicare are broken and bankrupt systems because we, as voting citizens, have allowed congress to transform these systems from insurance programs to and [sic] entitlement programs. [...] Free market alternatives, which offer retirement choices to employees and employers, must be developed and offered to those still in their wage earning years, as the Social Security system is transitioned out.

On drill, baby drill:

As a long-term policy, America must expand its own domestic energy supplies. Sharron Angle would legislate to .repeal regulations that prohibit off shore drilling, drilling in ANWR and development of American owned petroleum resources.

On climate change:

Cap and Trade, which is based on an unscientific hysteria over the man-caused global warming hoax, steps over the constitutional boundaries of the federal government and is merely another way to tax the people.

On her plans to reduce the deficit by ... cutting taxes!

As your U.S. Senator, Sharron Angle will introduce legislation in line with her economic policy of:

* Pay back the deficit
* Cut back on spending, taxation and regulation

On the UN:

The U.N. continually threatens U.S. sovereignty, with endless rhetoric and treaties and it has now become the “umpire” on fraudulent science, such as global warming.

On immigration:

Sharron Angle has been endorsed by Minuteman PAC.

Or her argument that"We may need 2nd Amendment remedies" if Republicans fail to take back Congress.

Second Amendment Remedies eh? You mean remedies like these guys who Murdered Police Officers?

Hear that...

.

.

.

.

.

Yeah, THAT, that deafening SILENCE FROM THE GOP/TEA PARTY - punctuated by the occasional cricket - as they race each other clawing hand and foot to denounce Murdering Police Officers because of some Nutbag Radical Constitutional Theory!

But give a few more seconds and they'll start whining that they've been Wrongly Associated with Domestic Terrorists. Yeah, right ok. I'm sure Bill Ayers didn't mind his name being used to trash Barack Obama either.

That's right I invoked the dreaded Bill Ayers, who never killed anyone, and was never even tried, let alone never convicted of Anything largely because of gross Right Wing Crimes - including witness tampering, evidence planting and false confessions - in the effort to "Get those Dirty Pinko Leftists" by Herbert Hoover's FBI.

Oh yes, now do you see why those pesky 4th and 5th Amendment Rights Matter? Wanna see what REAL Fascism Looks like? Try this...

There's a reason you don't fight criminals with more crime - it backfires!

Yeah, they called Dr Martin Luther King Jr a "Socialist" too - the FBI illegally wiretapped him and tried to use that information to blackmail him into suicide - but it had nothing to do with his race. Right, sure it didn't.

Truth is, there is a difference between the center of the GOP and the most radical and potentially violent fringe elements of that group just as there is a massive difference between Dr. King and Bill Ayers (not that the FBI didn't try to Railroad both of them) - but in the case of the GOP/Tea Party and their violent radical fringe, that difference is practically paper thin.

The philosophy of the Weather Underground and Black Panthers compared to Dr. King were radically different - but with the GOP/Tea Party and groups like the Hutaree Militia the Philosophy is identical, only the methods differ - so far.

As I wrote yesterday about the Tea Party "Yup, I'm a Racist" T-Shirts - the real problem here is that when you openly admit you Hate Non-Christians, you openly admit you Hate Liberals and you Hate Socialists, you openly admit you Hate Communists, you openly admit you Hate Gays, you openly admit you Hate Scientists and you hate Doctors who dare to give all those Slutty Women an Abortion just because it's LEGAL ... When about 70-80% of the rest of the Nation includes Blacks (who tend to be Democrats and Liberals), Women (most of whom of may not get an abortion, but would at least like to have the Freedom of Choice on the issue) and Gays (who would like to be able to serve their country openly and have the FREEDOM to marry the consensual party of there choice) and what was that other group again, oh yeah DEMOCRATS and Liberals who happen to have been fighting to protect all those peoples FREEDOMS as well as YOURS for generations - then whining about being called "Racist" is like complaining about the Barn Door being open after all the pigs have run down the road, been picked up and already taken to market to slaughter.

That Ship has SAILED already.

We already KNOW the GOP Base and Tea Party are a bunch of Hate Filled Ignorant Bigots - now we're just haggling over HOW Ignorant and Bigoted.

And how dangerous...
